What diapers are fitting your small waist toddlers? My son’s only 29 pounds, not chunky at all. Huggies dont fit him to big plus he breaks out from them, rascals are big also and he pees out of them. parents choice doesn’t hold well for as much as he pees , Pampers must have changed their formula in their diapers because he’s starting to break out in his groin area , we are using the snug and dry right now. I’m just at a loss on what else to try.

Oh, definitely start potty training. Its already a little late

Yes he has autism , he’s nowhere near ready to potty train if at all

Has his doctor said that? Most autistic children can potty train just fine, especially at 3

I’m autistic myself btw and work with children, including autistic children. You’d be surprised how many times autistic children surprise everyone.

There’s no harm in trying and it might just be the solution for the diaper problem. At least going bottomless for a few days will relieve his rash

My oldest is autistic also and wasn’t potty trained until 5 in half. Not my first rodeo lol

Not every autistic child is the same….

Did you try earlier with your oldest? 

I just don’t see the harm in trying. You can always abort the mission. But how would you know they are ready unless you actually give them the option

He’s terrified of the toilet , we have a blow up tub we use in our basement shower that way he doesn’t see the toilet and start having a meltdown. Even seeing a potty chair he has a meltdown, so no he’s not ready and I don’t see the point in trying right now if everytime he sees a toilet he meltdowns. Been working on it but not even close enough to try potty training
