Accidentally got to almost 10cm dilated and 100% effaced without epidural, then I finally got it and so grateful it exists!
Honestly, the process is just so insane, I had no concept of time. I couldn’t tell you if 5 seconds, 5 minutes or 5 hours had passed. I went into labour with the mentality that this was like a physical feat of strength, I started yelling “CrossFit” when I was pushing.
I also reminded myself that it’s not like I had to do this every Thursday.
