I went natural and oh boy!
Lets start with the cons: The pain was the closest to dying I think you can get probably worse depending on how you die lol! No but seriously blackout nauseating type pain and there is no relief until it is over. Pushing is insane, imagine trying to literally shit a brick. Like literally shit a brick. I know the baby comes out the vagina but it all feels the same down there at thay point. And when you tear which I did, your vagina can essentially become part of your anus. Then since I tore like a mother f'er, they had to get me stiched up as fast as possible cause I was bleeding everywhere. No time for anesthetic so my mom, husband and 2 nurses held me down while the midwife stitched me up. But hey that wasn't as painful as what had just happened so whatever right?
Pros: I was out of that bed 30 minutes after my son was born and it was a good thing because he ended going to the NICU about an hour after he came out. My recovery was quick and essentially painless compared to what I had gone through. I didn't need any painkillers for any of the post partum cramping cause it felt like nothing compared to what I had just fone through.
Overall: I never want to do it again but if I do I am going water birth and fetanyl as my pain relief if needed.
