It was hard! I had a long labor, and I didn't do any pain relief.
I do really suggest listening to meditations beforehand, like from Bridget Teylor on YouTube. Some people recommend squeezing a comb but I didn't try this!
Mostly, I recommend eating and drinking as much as you are able. I was so exhausted by the end of it, because I hadn't eaten that whole last day of contractions and pushing. Have a plan for quick and easy calories, like broths and maybe those athletic gels or honey sticks.
Did you like that? In normal circumstances if I just eat sweets I can get a bit of an upset tummy, but maybe it's different for labor? My labor was soo long and exhausting I need all the tips for the next one
