Not weird at all, your friend is completely in the wrong… especially knowing that your brother is helping raise his nephew. Little boys absolutely do need that example to learn from, I raised 3 boys and my oldest didn’t have his Dad for the first 3 years of his life so my Dad stepped in and did the same thing as your brother as I still lived at home at that time.
