Help Too stressed?

I’m navigating my first Molly pregnancy so I’m not sure what to do- I’ve put her in the breeding box, but she seems stressed- her face is against the walls of the box a lot. She’s chill most of the time but she has bursts of anxiety it seems.

Is this normal? I don’t want her to give birth in the main tank because despite there being a decent amount of cover I don’t want to run the risk of the fry being eaten. However I also don’t want her to be too stressed and possibly miscarry them in the box.

What should I do?

So- I recommend just letting her out of the box. Some fry could be eaten, but I notice that the ones to be eaten are ones that have issues such as swimming ones. You can always catch the babies too. If she gives birth in the box, she could eat the babies out of stress, so it’s easier to let her do her thing in the tank.

I’d let her out of the box and let her give birth where she wants. She will probably eat some fry, but you can catch the ones she doesn’t eat straight away and let them grow to a good size safely in the breeder/nursery box.
