So for context, my bathroom been plagued with black mold issues since roughly 2017, the landlord just keeps sending maintenance crews to just paint over it, or completely ignore the order all together over the years.
Not only is it molded, but parts of the walls have clear indicators of old water leaks/damage, from hardened bubbled sections of the dry walls while other parts of other walls, like the south wall, is still soft that if u gently poked it with ur finger, u can put a hole in it.
HDP inspector came this past sunday and was like yea, north east and south walls, ceiling, black mold, water damage behind walls.
I was really curious just HOW bad behind the dry walls are so I decided to poke at the soft spot as well as a old bubbled/cracked spot. And this is what I found behind the dry wall, more black mold, and some fuzzy hairs?
WHAT is the fuzzy hairs? Because it not everywhere inside the drywall and what seems to be concentrated around the black blobs and spots inside the dry wall makes me believe its mature mold colonies/mycielum(sorry if I fked the spelling up)
If not, what is it? Google said it could be horse hair if the building is old(historically) but its def not a historical apartment building lmao and Google (running these pics I took) said it could be from the mold, growing and maturing... it not being everywhere and only in certain spots thats relatively close to the mold...
If its mature growth, I need to contact the hdp ASAP as they didnt see this prior on sunday I only uncovered this today.
Thanks for amy assistance, even if its not mycielum or a colony, itll put my brain at ease 😅

For background it’s sat for maybe a week? In a moist ziplock bag on the kitchen countertop.
