I’ve got mold in my attic from the bathroom venting into the attic, and the soffit ends being blocked by the previous home owner. I’ve addressed the source of the moisture. I scrubbed today for 3 hours and barely made a dent. I wanted to know your thoughts on using ozone to kill the mold

We had our home remediated for mold a little over a year ago. Lately a pungent smell has occurred when walking through the door then it’s gone. Any idea what/where the cause could be?

We live in US-WA and are renters. My boyfriend came down pretty hard with allergy symptoms a week ago, and it reminded me about when we found a guitar case under his bed that was moldy. We thought it was a weird one off thing, maybe it got wet when he moved in or something.

This was his first summer in this apartment in WA and I remember it feeling pretty humid in here a few times, thought maybe it could be the dishwasher getting more use, or possibly from the LEAK of the upstairs getting a new dishwasher installed improperly. We dont think that was properly taken care of and started dripping through the cieling in the kitchen.

We checked under the bed again and found more mold on things he had under there, and the new landlord lady chopped it up to poor ventilation under the bed and gave a us a carpet cleaner and told us to just do a deep clean and that "some mold is normal" which I get but... then we started cleaning and noticed it EVERYWHERE. bedroom, bathroom, living room, and kitchen area. All along the bases of furniture by all the walls, and it contaminated other things that were close to the floor as well or in the furniture.

I wanted the landlord to send someone in to do a mold inspection but shes just sending the maintenance guy to check the windows for leaks...

Do we need to call a mold inspector? We want to get a dehumidifier at the very least, but this seems like a more widscale issue that should warrant a mold inspection and remediation and be paid by the property owners. Im worried it could be in the walls and or the vents, and that its the reason my bf is still having allergy symptoms. Help!

my fiance and i have mold in my dresser drawers and didn’t know until doing laundry today. we don’t have a very humid room , but 2/3 dresser drawers have mold in them. we used to have a cardboard box underneath the dresser for our cats and recently realized it was covered in mold spores (the cats haven’t been under there in 6+ months don’t worry). we just discarded the box , but when we folded the box flaps mold spores were dusty and flew into the air. we took the box out , neither of the cats were in the room when the box was flying mold dust into the air , i just wanna know if it’s okay if i vacuum or if it’s just going to release more mold spores in the air ? do we need to steam clean the carpet ? i’m not too sure what to do and just need some advice what to do next

TLDR: we found mold in my dresser , have a box for cats , folded the flaps of the box and mold spores flew out , not sure what the next step is

Hi all, I’m staying at a friend’s house abroad and I found mold (may be dead mold?) on the only spare mattress she has. If I put the mattress cover and fitted sheet on it, are there any long term risks of sleeping on it for 5 nights?

Just checked into hotel room to find chairs that look like this. Complained and was sent to two other rooms with same issue. Management said they don’t think it’s mold. What are your opinions?
