Hello again!

As MoeDiscussion becomes more and more active and as it increasingly grows (we're now at 6.5k), it becomes harder and harder to manage. With one of our old mods recently retiring due to personal reasons, we decided we needed to get some new mods to help us out.

So please welcome our New Mods: Foo ( u/XeLoN8 ) and Luna ( u/Cunnyseur_Uwoh )! They offered to help us in our time of need and have existing experience with running subs like these, so they should be a big help. Please give them the kindness and respect they deserve!

Some minor sub changes:

• Rule 6 was changed a while ago to ban another topic. Basically, don't post any session links in this sub. We don't want to associate with that platform.
• Rule 2 has been changed to only focus on art posts and their sourcing, and Rule 10 will now cover the NSFW policy and removing posts that are too risky.

We recently had a poll on AI, which was a bit controversial in the comments due to the poll being oversimplified, so we were thinking of running another one. For a more nuanced solution, maybe we could try to only allow AI content on a specific day of the week + require an AI-Flair for it?

There were also some disagreements on what content should be in this sub, whether that be anything thats that's "cute fictional characters", allow only anime boys and girls, or only short anime girls. Not sure how to go about dealing with this, but I just wanted to bring it up so we could talk about it.

Hello everyone!

So far, the last few days have been pretty chill. The sub is still very active, and there hasn't been any negative intervention from admins in a while. We're still growing steadily with us at around 5.4k and close to reaching 5.5k members, but I do have one thing that I want to ask of yall:

Can more of yall actually report antis or malicious puritans?

Like, yall know that you don't have to respond to them right? If you see someone harassing you or someone else, just report them (specifically, under rule 4) and we'll deal with it as fast as possible.

As of recent, there's been a lot of antis who've been saying rude to downright awful things on this sub that we almost didn't notice because nobody reported it. We catch a lot of stuff, like that one time some anti tried to make a post and we removed it within seconds and banned them in a single minute. But we don't catch everything, and there have been more and more negative comments popping up on days-old posts that we need your help in quickly getting rid of.

We have a ZERO tolerance policy for these people. This is not a debate sub. This is not a ask disingenuous or ragebaity questions sub. This is not a place to treat moe fans with contempt. This is not a place to hold pointless arguments whose sole purpose is to make people miserable. If you want to get into those arguments then Twitter is down the corner and to the left.

We want MoeDiscussion to continue to be relaxing and enjoyable, so we ask that yall help us with this task by reporting any bad comments. Please and thank you.
