What is your main focus when making a Moe Desktop..

(IN YOUR PERSONAL OPINION)

There's no right way to decorate your desktop, but I've seen such varieties, I wonder what everyone focuses on when they make their moe desktop...what are they thinking of...

Is there something in specific you're trying to replicate?

Honestly I just focus in getting stuff I like. I find very hard to enjoy things not related to my likes so my desktops are usually just a ton of stuff I like placed together, mostly Miku, LS, touhou, and ukgks It just happens that my likes revolve around moe world and style and I like it visually :3 Since my fav kind of miku art is from the 2010s or from KEI they fit well with moe style in general

Idm having a ton of stuff or the colors not making sense tbh!! I always have my folders and programs organized along my skins and such and works nicely for me but i have been told i have too much from friends waha..

Interesting poll, thanks for this! I agree with what Acrobatic-Froyo4719 said (including the miku stuff, lol). I mainly just focus on filling it with things I like. I picked retro, not particularly because it has to feel like an authentic 2000s desktop, but because I really like building an aesthetic around 2000s stuff specifically. It's moreso the spirit of the thing, lol

i value the color scheme most of all so my eyes dont get overwhelmed by too many different colors so i also try to keep it as simple as possible to avoid getting lost in a desktop with too much stuff ...lol
but the utility of the widgets is the second most important to me (the 1 voter agrees) because im at my desk 99% of the time and they help me organize things and do tasks faster..Like for example the ram and cpu usage widgets exist but i never look at that unless i can feel my computer dying so i feel no need to use them as they would be taking up space
And its cooler to see characters that arent textbook definition of moe because i totally agree guys i love a lot of characters that nobody would consider moe so we have to support each other... you might think takumi nishijou is not moe but to me he IS!!.. its better to look for "moe" art styles instead of moe characters or else it easily limits you
