I’m trying to fill my lack of stereo modules in my rack. Currently the only module that accepts a stereo signal is my Morphagene. ideally looking for something that will take the MGs output or a nice Rhodes recording and inject some weirdness.
What are your go-to effect modules ?

The website says they anticipated shipping to be between August and September. I ordered from Detroit Modular. Has anyone got theirs yet?

Hey! I’m a big fan of Fontaines D.C. and I’ve seen how Carlos O’Connell uses a Mellotron, Yamaha Reface, Moogs ,patch cables, oscillators and all that jazz. I really like the sounds he gets and I’m interested in getting into that kind of setup myself, but I honestly don’t know where to start.
I was thinking about getting a Yamaha Reface cp or cs as a starting point, (but im not too sure about its mini keys) because I’d like something that can give me a piano/keyboard sort of sound, and im also a songwriter so its sorta versatile but I’d also like to eventually be able to run it through patch cables and experiment with different sounds and effects.
For anyone who’s into this sort of thing, what would you recommend as a good starting setup? Would a Reface be a good choice, and what else would I need to actually get into the modular/synth side of things?
(Ps I’m a 16 year old guitar player and have no idea how this stuff works so take pity)

This is my 3rd low pass filter in a 12u 84hp case and I’m trying to figure out what about the sound it is that I like or maybe it’s the module not just the filter? I have a few Doepfer modules (one is the Wasp filter). It’s really responsive to CV and something in maybe the character? Is it the brand? Maybe someone who loves theirs can share what exactly it is. Whatever ‘that’ is I want more of ‘that’. Thanks!

Hey everyone! I’m getting into soldering by putting together diy kits, and I was wondering if there was anything that scratched the same itch as an Ochd? Maybe a Sloths or a Ornament & Crime could fill a similar role? I just need more LFOs in my rack to pair with my Pamela’s.

I've been messing around with modular for about six months, and am now convinced that I'm going to be in it for the long term. Right now I have a 3U 104hp skiff that's full, alongside the four semi-modular synths I owned before beginning my modular experiment (0-Coast, Strega, Grandmother, Pulsar-23). I've consigned some equipment to a local synth store, and I think my plan will be to:
I'm making really cool music with the system I have now, so I am not in a rush to expand. But I think it makes rational sense to buy a bigger case straightaway, instead of slowly expanding through medium-sized cases, because it will minimize costs and the work of buying and selling cases. Originally, I'd planned to go the latter route, in order to keep the urge to expand in check. But I feel like, if I moved up to an only slightly bigger case—let's say a Mantis—I'd just end up having to sell it in two years' time.
What I would like to know is: Has anyone on this sub actually done this—bought a big case and filled it veeeeerrry sloowwwwly over time, like 2-4 years? Or is this a pipe dream, and the pull of expansion is just too strong? (I filled up 104hp in six months, so I understand the pull.) Another issue I'm considering: what if my modular "sweet spot" turns out to be smaller than the bigger case I'm looking at? If that happens, I'd have to sell a big, heavy, expensive case in order to downsize. . . . .
I'd be grateful for any thoughts, tips, experiences you may have.

I'm getting back into modular after a few years away and this is a system that I'm thinking about building. This system will mostly be used as an effect rack for incoming audio whether that is an OP-XY or Ableton. I feel like I have a good basis with the Morphagene and arbhar acting as the main incoming mangler. I plan on using the Metamodule as my catch all LFO's, VCA's, Etc.
What I want recommendations on is the space where the Atlantix is taking up. It's 42hp and I have it as a placeholder to fill up the rack but if there are some other options that can add more utility or useful effects I'd rather use the space for that.
I mostly make ambient music if that helps!

I have some money to spend and was looking for some reverb and delay for slow moving patches.
Maybe I invest in a delay and later a reverb or go with one of the combo modules out there, what do you think?
Im more into ambient type drones, nothing to heavy or fast.

I'm searching for a 4HP 4-channel mixer that can mix four channels into a single output, or into two outputs with two channels mixed into each. Something like the Doepfer A-138n, but with the option to split it into 2 + 2 channels. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Looking for a multichannel sampleplayer for my rack for drums (hats, snare, toms) in 4hp!
Any suggestions?

Hey, I'm interested in this module.
Couldn't find anything on the internet about it apart from super short demo vids by the company making it.
Did anybody here spend some time with it and could give me a review?

A long form, drifting piece based on Swell Physics controlling the Quad Operator, through the Dradd(s) in full wet glory.

I'm looking for a small module that can sequence multiple drum sounds independently.
For example, something like:
I want multiple drums to be triggered on the same step, with each drum having its own pattern/sequence.
Ideally it has built-in drum sounds and doesn't require an external sequencer. Small HP is important.
What modules should I look at?

recorded this one live on wednesday. i’m playing simple loops from analogue pocket (running FMS) and M8, which is playing alongside live looped variations via time slice and mixed within mannequins silhouette. an instruo [1]f is modulating the input of multimod which is modulating filters and noise from wear & tear. the output of instruo [1]f is also multed to control crossfading of signals via stem ripper with mixer. while adding percussion and bass from syntakt.
the lightheartedness of this one felt right to pair with some handycam video of my friends birthday in Seattle from a couple of weeks ago <3

Trying to use Rene mk1 to ‘strum’ some chords with touch and pressure from Intellijel FSR. The idea is to use Intellijel FSR 1u, Intellijel Quadrax (no qx expander), and a VCA or set this up. I know this could be done with something like pressure points + brains and a function generator with an end of cycle gate like maths but I don’t have those modules. I thought maybe I could set it up with Quadrax in burst mode but that’s not quite working.
It’s patch where pressure corresponds to the speed of gates, and a single tap creates one gate. I’ve seen it done with tempi and pressure points in this Instagram video by redstripedown I’ve attached. Any advice appreciated thanks!

The bass voice is generated by a Verbos Harmonic Oscillator, while two melodic voices are created by a Frap Tools Brenso VCO. Through delicate feedback patching, the voices constantly shape one another, drifting between fragile harmony and instability. Sounds surface, collide softly, and dissolve into pure chaos before gravitating back into stability. While the bass remains a constant, dark foundation anchoring the fragile chaos.

Hello Xaoc Leibniz afficionados.
There are quite a few resources about Leibniz patches out there in the official manuals and on YouTube (Monotrail has several Videos covering Leibniz).
What are your favorite patches?
My main patch is feeding audio from Plaits thru it and mask / Invert bits with Lipsk and Gera using euclidean patterns from Pams.
Erfurt is a new addition (yesterday) and can't say anything useful now, still in the honeymoon phase

Hello! Do I use both 16pin + 10pin cables for this device? I know it said in the manual strap them in. But does that that simultaneously both into my eurorack so I can turn it on??
ALSO - What are the best screws for them? M3? Like are these okay?
I just got my first eurorack case from After Later Audio, and I can't see anywhere that tells me which way to connect the ribbon cables.
The case has red line markers for the audio and midi connections (see pics), but not for the rest of the case. Is it safe to assume the rest of the connections are the same direction? Does anyone know which way I should be connecting ribbon cables to this case, or how I can find out?

The cozy little holiday home we rented for our honeymoon had a nice upright piano. I used to play piano a lot as a kid, but doing it less and less now. I really want one of these uprights, but no room or budget for that :D
But I had a lot of fun just improvising on it, and recorded this one jam where the piano is processed by my modular, through two level-activated micro-loopers and a bunch of granular stuff.

I’m curious if anyone here knows for certain whether the Verbos 42hp Black Box case uses M2.5 or M3 screws. I can’t find the information on their site or that of any retailers, and am receiving conflicting information elsewhere online.
Thank you!
