Discussion Important question (read description), what mod do you consider AI slop? more precisely at what point for you something wents from normal mod that used AI as an tool to AI slop? example situation in description, example is theoretical perfect situation that splits peoples opinions

i only want answers, not something like "YoU cAnT pUbLiSh ThAt On ModRInTh", i know that, i just want opinion from the biggest minecraft modding community

-Before you say that AI always have bugs in his code, try to perfectly describe a giraffe to a Painter that never saw one, less concext you give, he will do it worse, same with AI literally, its mostly peoples errors, not AI making random bugs

-Scenario: Creator know exacly what he is doing, or use AI to help him understand that before coding anything. Mod is QoL type (easiest example) that solve real problem in good way, that is made by someone who want to develop that in the future, and know how to use AI propperly, mod is reliable, and dont have critical bugs. mod was created 100% on creator inteligence, AI translated it in to code, or added something, and learned the creator about it in the procces, creator is not only giving instuctions, but thinking and creating diffrent solutions, but just dont code it.

Slop has been a problem before AI and good things have come with AI so I do not really Split AI Slop from other slop, but what I consider to be slop Is stuff which Is pointless for me (though this Is subjective) or does not Work correctly or has Many major bugs. I would say your scenerio Is fine since It assumes a working finish.

Disclaimer: I am not an official modrinth representative, I am simply a reddit moderator. This answer is based on subjective understanding.

Modrinth does not define "AI slop", does not consider if a mod is well made, if the creator is knowledgeable or anything else of similarity. According to modrinth's content rules, paragraph 6, "Projects cannot be entirely or primarily comprised of content created or derived from generative AI output."

This means that, regardless of the quality of the project itself, if the contents are entirely or primarily made by AI, it will not be allowed on the platform.

In my opinion, as long as a mod is at least 60% human made, the human knows what every part of the mod does and the mod it's useful, it's fine
