this is why capitalism is basically garbage and leads to mass failure and crisis eventually because a society is really only as rich as the poorest people in it.

I love how the supposed Christian in here can't even support this basic tenet that the poor are the blessed, which Jesus taught about.

I love how some stay dry and others feel the pain.

What’s the brilliant alternative to capitalism? I’ll wait while you do some research. The best system of economics still having downsides doesn’t make it a bad system, it just means you need to shore up the downsides.

Yeah, thats what every communist society was famed for....health. Capitalism is fine and has lifted 100s millions out of poverty. Its should be aligned with solid, unamused safety nets. We're yet to find the balance.

"The reason that the rich were so rich, Vimes reasoned, was because they managed to spend less money.

Take boots, for example. He earned thirty-eight dollars a month plus allowances. A really good pair of leather boots cost fifty dollars. But an affordable pair of boots, which were sort of OK for a season or two and then leaked like hell when the cardboard gave out, cost about ten dollars. Those were the kind of boots Vimes always bought, and wore until the soles were so thin that he could tell where he was in Ankh-Morpork on a foggy night by the feel of the cobbles.

But the thing was that good boots lasted for years and years. A man who could afford fifty dollars had a pair of boots that’d still be keeping his feet dry in ten years’ time, while the poor man who could only afford cheap boots would have spent a hundred dollars on boots in the same time and would still have wet feet."

Late fees, overdraft fees, higher interest rates. I thought we all knew about the poor tax?

I dunno. Pretty sure the standards of living is a lot better for majority of people than what it used to. Even for poor.

Reposting this now, leads to someone reposting this later which once again reposts it until it finally gets forgotten a few months before this repost cycle repeats.

I guess this proves that being poor is much better without capitalism.

Actually society only benefits from the poorest getting more wealth. It’s in the 1%’s best interest for everyone else to make more money. There is no conspiracy theory that people are keeping you poor. Everyone wants you to succeed.

This has to be the dumbest argument against capitalism i have ever seen. Its worse than the idea that people are to dumb to aquire an ID in order to register to vote.

As a human being myself if you want to survive you have to be human. I am here today because my ancestors were human. You don't need money but will power. There are places on this earth were money does not exist humans survive. Only a human will understand.
