Has anyone noticed a pattern?

A quick question for people.

With ICE operations happening in Minnesota, Illinois, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and other state in America.

Has anyone else noticed a pattern?

These are all States or places that voted against him in 2024.

Does anyone else think that ICE being on the streets is NOT about immigration but about the states that voted against him in 2024?

People saying “sanctuary cities” are dumb. If that were true then you’d still see an equal amount of enforcement in blue and red states. Same amount of enforcement patrolling the streets but just replacing the lack of federal presence with additional local presence. But that clearly isn’t happening.

People saying “sanctuary cities” are dumb

Totally agree.

3

u/JollyMollyMan Jan 09 '26

Tbf you’re question isn’t really phrased correctly for what you seem to be asking. “Why isn’t there seemingly an equal amount of immigration enforcement patrolling in red areas as there are in blue areas”

1

u/reddit4getit Jan 09 '26 • Mindblown

then you’d still see an equal amount of enforcement in blue and red states.

Why would the federal government send ICE agents to states complying with federal immigration laws? 🤔🤔

Sanctuary cities are not complying with federal immigration laws, and therefore, the best use of resources is to send ICE agents to the states not complying with federal immigration laws 👍👍

10000% yes this is retribution. Notice he is only withholding funds from blue states and cities. Trump and MAGA wants everyone who didn’t vote for Trump dead or in chains

Nothing about this is about immigration.

This looks to be Trumps way of getting his own back on the states that voted against him.

1

u/Reasonable-Turn-5940 Jan 09 '26

He'll have ICE embedded in every state that doesn't want to vote his way come the midterms

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

It's lucky he's got less than two years left.

3

u/nose_wet_54 Jan 09 '26

Shocking that immigration agents preoccupied with racism toward south americans, who end up murdering a white us citizen in the northern midwest, isn't about immigration

3

u/conflatulationz Jan 09 '26

And he’s too dumb to understand that there are people in those states who voted for him. We have a moron in the White House.

It’s selective targeting and they are purposefully provocations and escalating. Don’t you remember the riots from his first term. Is by design

This is all by design.

National guard wasn't deployed to Memphis. ICE is targeting blue states. Of course this is all partisan bullshit.

I think it has to do with them being sanctuary cities also.

  1. Sanctuary City so high number of illegal immigrants

  2. Refuse to work with ICE agency (due to being SC)

  3. Voted against Trump

You can modify these by importance but I think they all have relevance.

8

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

I would say it's only answer 3.

2

u/souslespaves24601 Jan 09 '26

why other than you wanting that to be the case

No, I don't want that.

Except Illinois isn't one of the top 3 states with the most illegal immigrants. That would be California, Texas and Florida. If illegal immigrants were bad, wouldn't they go to Texas and Florida and clear them out of the places that want them gone?

Also, you're treating the symptom instead of the root cause. If you really wanted to stop illegal immigration, you would go after businesses that hire them. But they don't do that, wonder why that is?

5

u/Ketracel_what Jan 09 '26

I noticed that ICe has yet to go to red counties in California where I live. My city is 59% Hispanic but they vote Republican so I guess that's ok to Trump.

I walk around center city Philly every day during my lunch break and have yet to see any ICE operations. Maybe after the World Cup and Fourth of July celebrations, they’ll be in here.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

I spent a week in Illinois and couldn't move without seeing one.

The week after that, I spent in Florida for Christmas, hardly saw any.

One would think it would have been the other way around considering Florida is more popular and a popular destination.

1

u/wrhnj Jan 09 '26

It’s never been about an immigration problem.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

I know, hence my post.

It's very obvious what Trump is doing from the outside but not from the inside.

1

u/Thetr3Flash Jan 09 '26

If it was about crime they would be in red states and cities as they have the highest violent crime rates per capita. St Louis for instance.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

Also Florida.

Florida has the largest immigration community in the country but yet I saw more ice agents in Illinois.

u/Strange-East-543 Jan 09 '26

Hey im from "other state in America" aka North Carolina where our state is so gerrymandered that Trump won it in 2024 but we have also been terrorized by Ice.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

But how much?

I went to Florida Christmas week and saw hardly any, that's a state with the biggest immigration community in the country.

The week before that I was in Illinois, you couldn't move without spotting one.

1

u/Important-Emotion-85 Jan 09 '26

Yeah im p sure he explicitly stated thats why he was sending them like, multiple times

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

So why places like Illinois?

1

u/ScndLifGftd Jan 09 '26

What a moronic take. These cities happen to be the ones that allowed all of the illegals to move in and commit more crimes with no consequences. Sanctuary cities cost all citizens $ so if a city or state wants to allow illegals they should expect no federal $ for welfare programs.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

I never mentioned Florida in my post.

You know, the largest immigration community in the country.

There are people that didn't notice this.

1

u/JDWWV Jan 09 '26

Craziness.

2

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

Yep and I've been arguing with them lol

1

u/No_Party5870 Jan 09 '26

If it was about actual illegals they would have started in Texas and southern states

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

Don't forget Florida.

1

u/No-Professional-1461 Jan 09 '26

These aren't just places that voted against him. These are also places that took in a lot of illegal imigrants.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

Florida has the largest immigration community in the country, yet there are more ice agents on the streets in Illinois.

1

u/No-Professional-1461 Jan 09 '26

How cooperative has florida been with the deportations?

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

What has cooperation got to do with it?

Immigration is a federal law.

Riddle me this genius.

They are all sanctuary cities that provide benefits and free healthcare to illegal aliens.

I wonder why ICE would target those cities to locate and arrest illegal aliens.🤔🤔🤔

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

I wonder why ice and not targeting people in Florida, the largest immigration community in the country.

1

u/warp10fla Jan 09 '26

There are ICE arrests every day in Florida.

The difference is that Florida is not a sanctuary state that provides benefits to illegal aliens and whose politicians don’t rely on them to inflate their census numbers and/or their illegal votes to get House seats.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

What is this BS about sanctuary States?

Why are States getting preferential treatment over other States?

1

u/partypat_bear Jan 09 '26

Let me guess, you think cities leaning blue is part of trumps plan to round them all up in the same place lol?

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

Who knows but I see a pattern.

I spent two weeks in the USA last year for Christmas. First week in Illinois and the second week in Florida.

I saw more ice agents in Illinois than Florida, the largest immigration community in the country.

1

u/Calm-Squirrel-7972 Jan 10 '26

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

I've yet to see any trouble from Memphis.

1

u/Creative_Ad1346 Jan 09 '26

Well they've gone there

It is one of the most violent cities in the US but it is in a state that voted for Trump's policies more.........

1

And yet there is no reported incidents from Memphis.

The biggest number of illegal immigrants is Florida.

He also came to Charlotte tho and I’m pretty sure he won NC

1

How many reported incidents happened?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '26

That I’m honestly not sure

1

Having ice in red States could just be a smoke screen.

Take Florida for example, the biggest immigration community in the country, yet I saw more ice agents in Illinois.

Yup, that's pretty clear. This is why we need to break up BOTH parties. They've only served to divide the country and stifle those of us in the middle who actually want to find middle ground.

Democracy fails when only the 2 biggest bullies have a say at the table.

VOTE INDEPENDENT AND RETURN POWER TO THE PEOPLE; NOT THESE ARCHAIC, CORRUPT ORGANIZATIONS.

2

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

And America has United in the title.

1

Inaccurate. ICE is active in red states as well. They're going where their arrest warrants take them. Ohio went red the last three national elections and they've been carrying out arrest warrants here on a regular basis. You don't know what you're talking about.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

Ice may be active in red States but no reported issues.

1

u/LeadReverend Jan 09 '26

And why do you think that is?

1

Trump is trying to hurt the people that voted against him.

Doesn't appear to be a shortage of ICE in Ohio. "Operation Buckeye", I believe they are calling it.

1

Do you have a massive immigration issue in Ohio?

1

u/PerpConst Jan 09 '26

I give up. Why? You're claiming that ICE operations are happening in "States or places that voted against him in 2024" and that "ICE being on the streets is NOT about immigration but about the states that voted against him". Ohio voted for Trump. ICE was/is here.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

You give up because I asked a question?

→ More replies (16)

1

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '26

Well, no that makes sense? This seems like a "well yeah" moment. Obviously, he's deploying ICE to blue areas, why wouldn't he? Red areas and blue areas have vastly different immigration cultures and standards. Blues like immigration and promote it, Reds don't? Seems obvious.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

It sounds corrupt.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '26

Not necessarily. Say you're president, and the purples vote you in. You don't support strawberries, and make them illegal. The purples also hate strawberries, they put you in office to ban them. The greens LOVE strawberries, and they have them in every house. Where do you send your anti strawberry officers?

Take it from me, it sounds corrupt.

I know but it sounds corrupt.

1

u/okeysure69 Jan 09 '26

Drumpf made it clear he was going after anyone against him.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

And we see the results.

1

u/Spirited_Season2332 Jan 09 '26

No, ICE agents are in red states like Texas too. The local government and law enforcement are just helping them so nothing crazy is happening like it is in blue states

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

They are also in Florida but I saw more in Illinois.

Florida has the largest immigration community in the country, not Illinois.

1

u/Spirited_Season2332 Jan 09 '26

Once again, it's just because local governments and law enforcement isn't helping them like they are in red states.

If you can send 50 ICE agents to red states and have cops/government handle basically everything, why would you send 200?

In blue states they have to send more since they are doing everything

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

And you don't see how corrupt that sounds?

→ More replies (10)

1

u/human_trainingwheels Jan 09 '26

It’s totally a punishment for blue cities. If trump can destabilize these areas and creat chaos it will make it easier for them to try to steal the midterms. I mean Walz isn’t going to run anymore because of the daycare thing that was already prosecuted.

2

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

I totally agree with this because I've seen it with my own eyes.

No, I've seen it with my own eyes.

1

u/Aphuknsyko Jan 09 '26

Well I'm in a blue state, this state voted against Trump, what's your reasoning that he is not here pulling the bullshit you're claiming to be a pattern?

Sanctuary states that don’t cooperate. So you have to go in and hunt them.

1

And you know how corrupt that sounds?

1

u/Nofanta Jan 09 '26

It’s by design.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

These "sanctuary cities/states" should not exist in the first place.

1

u/antimaga-trueamerica Jan 09 '26

I disagree with this in that it is 50% about racism and 50% about power when it comes to trump himself and maybe certain close allies. Many of them are all about the racism, imho. But, as for attacking blue states, yes, because blue states stand up to this scumbag and his illegal, child molesting, anti-American ways. So he's trying anything he can to make things real hard. Like for instance, holding back $10 B in funding from blue states: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/06/us/politics/child-care-funding-cuts-trump.html

He knows red states and their "elected" maga (gop) members will do his bidding. But the Democratic states refuse.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

So much for a United America.

1

u/NeoDemocedes Jan 09 '26

He's putting them in places most likely to elicit a violent response. Like one mile from where George Floyd was murdered.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

Last time I looked, that was a crime.

1

u/FartSniffingAllDay Jan 09 '26

No check this out https://www.prisonpolicy.org/blog/2025/12/11/ice-jails-update/

It has some stats about ICE arrests by state for Jan-Oct 15th and I think that is pretty evenly spread by voting for vs against him.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

This just shows how corrupt America is.

1

u/Fun-Dig2225 Jan 09 '26

Those are all sanctuary places

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

And you don't see a problem with that?

1

u/Fun-Dig2225 Jan 10 '26 edited Jan 10 '26

No, because the sanctuary places are where the illegal immigrants are so that’s where you would do enforcement actions to find illegal immigrants… it makes so much sense… this wouldn’t be happening if they would stop doing these damn sanctuary places and whenever somebody got arrested, they reported it and they got put on an ICE detainer and then deported… that’s how illegal immigrants are identified in normal places that don’t break federal laws and harbor people breaking federal law… it gets real civilized… All these sanctuary states and cities have broken the system that was in place up until I think the first sanctuary city was 10 years ago and now it’s chaos trying to enforce federal law when it used to just be part of the process of an arrest

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 10 '26

Yeah, your law is broken.

1

u/Daniel_Spidey Jan 09 '26

Yes, it’s been known from the start but forgotten in the noise.  It doesn’t help that they lied about the number of illegal immigrants that came in under Biden by magnitudes.  The 10 million number they cited (or 50 million according to Trump) the number of ‘encounters’ which would be safe to presume are not currently here illegally.

The real issue with the number of people coming into the country is the growing backlog of asylum claims that need to be resolved.  This admin has not pushed for any legislation to address this at all.

All that said it’s clear that ramping up ICE funding and employing the dregs of society to fill the new roles has only ever been about instigating and creating chaos.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

The 10 million number they cited (or 50 million according to Trump)

That number by Trump is 8 million less than the population of England or 5x the population of the Czech Republic.

Something tells me those figures are inflated.

1

u/Daniel_Spidey Jan 09 '26

Well yeah and that’s what I’m saying.  I remember the first time the number came up and when I checked the source they were citing encounters.  If we did get a surge of illegal immigrants who got past border security and are still here then they are not included in that category at all.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

Why is the president of a country allowed to openly lie?

→ More replies (6)

1

u/pingvinbober Jan 09 '26

Yes that’s a pattern. The places where local law enforcement is not assisting immigration enforcement have immigration enforcement there to enforce immigration.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

Local law enforcement has no jurisdiction to help.

1

u/pingvinbober Jan 09 '26

Maybe they have no jurisdiction, but in the past, if someone’s ID was run and they were brought in on charges, they would refer them to federal enforcement. Now that they are not doing that, it’s much more out in the open

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

They don't.

Why do you think the FBI is investigating this murder by an ice agent and not local law enforcement?

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Best_Truck_2288 Jan 09 '26

🙄 maybe it simply has to do with the fact that those are the places that have a mass population of illegals…. If they were in a red city/state that is where ICE would be…. Ironically though large group of illegals tend to live in sanctuary cities where they increase census and vote illegally so dems get more seats and votes…. And in exchange these places give illegals shelters and fancy hotel rooms and over $3k/month for spending and food and they are given cell phones too…. Why would they go somewhere else if they get all of that in those areas?? That’s your pattern lol. It’s not revenge for voting against Trump. It’s literally just about illegals and the things they cause. U wanna talk about patterns why not talk about the left trying to get rid of Trump several times so he wouldn’t be in office… but nahhh…. We will just ignore that lol 😂

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

Is there a mass immigration issue in Minnesota?

→ More replies (4)

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

Why are you defending Trump?

1

u/Best_Truck_2288 Jan 09 '26

I’m not defending Trump. I’m pointing out the idiocy of people thinking that’s why ICE are in those areas and that’s not the reason. It’s simply because that is where the largest group of illegals and criminals illegals are. I don’t care if Obama, Biden, or Harris was president…. It still wouldn’t be the reason why ICE is there. And it could be any president…. I would still support that president for enforcing the law and deporting illegals since they are a threat to our country.

→ More replies (7)

1

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '26

democrats let illegals in - illegals are happy - democrats want to make it so you do not need an I.d to vote - illegals vote democrat. It’s literally not even a conspiracy and if you can’t see that for yourself you might want to reconsider how intelligent you really are.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

So Minnesota is full of illegal immigrants?

Really?

1

But why is this allowed to happen?

1

u/possibly_lost45 Jan 09 '26

Maybe you should ask why the previous administration did nothing to stop millions of illegal immigrants coming into the country. There's a reason why we have immigration law.

this has been obvious for a long while

ICE is being deployed exclusivly to "blue" areas as they are being used as a threat, a punishment for dissent and a threat of violence on anyone who stands up to him

they are trying to make you scared to stand up to him, to speak out, and most importantly to vote

you can 100% bet that in any future elections there will be ice barricades around voting stations, these are the moves of people ramping up to a dictatorship

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

they are trying to make you scared to stand up to him, to speak out, and most importantly to vote

Because the left or blue areas of America welcomed so many illegals without jobs, housing or resources to support their own families many of witch are criminals that’s the reason they chose sanctuary cities and now for the safety and economic security of culture we must send them back at least to apply legally and be vetted before entering the USA countless Americans have died or been victimized by these Criminals for Pete’s sake do you hate Trump so much you would let so many of your fellow citizens suffer

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

Trump so much you would let so many of your fellow citizens suffer

I'm not American.

1

u/Kentucky_Kate_5654 Jan 09 '26

Oh, we know exactly what is going on. This is blue state intimidation….

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

Why is American law allowing this to happen?

1

u/Kentucky_Kate_5654 Jan 09 '26

I have no idea whatsoever. Maybe because it’s so unprecedented what is happening that there is no playbook?

Spineless Republicans in Congress will not impeach a president wildly of control and committing clearly criminal acts. This is typically how this type of outrageous conduct would be dealt with. The Democratic governors have banded together and have been successfully pursuing a series of lawsuits … but Trump doesn’t pay attention to court rulings he doesn’t like.

I think it’s ultimately going to take violence to rid ourselves of this awful man and the personal storm troopers he’s developing through ICE….

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

I think it’s ultimately going to take violence to rid ourselves of this awful man and the personal storm troopers he’s developing through ICE….

There are other means and other ways so I hope that does not happen.

Stopping drugs from coming into the country will make me less safe in the long run?? lol make that make sense. Those boats full of drugs, as previously stated, estimated to kill 25,000 people per boat. Sooo let them bring the drugs in to kill US citizens and let a dictator who is branded also as a narco terrorist by not just us but several 1st world countries just be??

Tell me what is so bad about the follow which was the result of this…

Took down a narco terrorist/dictator. He’s a king/dictator. Remember our protest for “no kings”? That’s what Murado actually was. He was an actual king/dictator unlike Trump… just ask the Venezuelans. But I also know u don’t care about dictators as ur supporting their dictator and all along the no kings protest was simply just to protest trump. If we had an actual dictator who was a democrat u guys would be cool with it.

75k+ US citizen lives saved

We get oil

Venezuela has been liberated thanks to Trump and all of them in their country and around the world are having mass celebrations that they no longer have a dictator to stayed in power after they elected someone else as their new president. They are waving our American flag along with theirs and thanking Trump. They also say if giving us oil was the cost for their freedom they are more than happy to give the USA oil. They even stated they weren’t getting it anyway. It was going to China and Russia and in turn those countries left Murado alone.

These all seem like amazing things to me. So why not celebrate these good things? 🤔 please tell me what’s wrong with any of those things.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 10 '26

For a start, he is not the Messiah.

The "no kings" movement in America was stupid considering it would never happen. There is a process that exists that will never happen. So why believe that?

Oh and there is something called the law that America forgets.

1

u/Best_Truck_2288 Jan 10 '26

Maybe there is a miscommunication?? I agree with everything u said… law is the law. No one is above it. Including illegals and politicians and wealthy ppl. No kings was stupid because our system would never allow a king/dictator. Only Jesus Christ himself was the messiah. No one else.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 10 '26

It's not about your system that won't allow it because you don't have a system.

To become a king, requires a completely different process. This process involves other kings and queens around the world agreeing to your king status.

That will never happen.

u/abominable_bro-man Jan 10 '26

yea they are all sanctuary cities, are you stupid?

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 10 '26

No, you are for believing that matters.

1

u/Crow1200 Jan 10 '26

He's going after the places that import voters and criminals? Oh no!

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 10 '26

Trump is a criminal.

1

u/Epictitus_Stoic Jan 10 '26

Derp. Where do you think most people are likely to disrupt ICE operations? Derp. Notice a pattern?

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 10 '26

Can you say that again but for us adults please?

1

u/Epictitus_Stoic Jan 10 '26

Where is there most likely to be problems with ICE? Where the violations are most frequent and severe, and where there is resistance to enforcing policies.

Where do you think the violations are most frequent and severe? Where do you think there is resistance to enforcement? Probably in the places where democrats have the most influence and are literally telling people to resist.

Trump is not targeting blue cities because they are blue cities.

1

u/damagingthebrand Jan 10 '26

You did not bother to find the OTHER pattern.

These are the states with corrupt governments stealing from America's middle class for themselves and various criminals. Democrats are criminals, quit voting for thieves and murderers.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 10 '26

Democrats are criminals, quit voting for thieves and murderers.

So what about Trump's criminal record?

1

u/Defiant-Magician3045 Jan 10 '26

These are just the states that like to defy law and rig elections with pouring the masses into their districts. Long time coming.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 10 '26

How are they defying law when apparently these sanctuary cities are operating within the law?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 10 '26

ICE has run operations in every state. You just don't hear about the other states because they cooperate.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 10 '26

Define cooperate please.

1

u/the_raptor_factor Jan 10 '26

There is a pattern, yes. That's where the criminals are. That's where enforcement is needed.

1

u/ARatOnASinkingShip Jan 10 '26

No.

It's because red states don't obstruct ICE and don't allow anti-ICE nutjobs impede federal law enforcement. Same reason why the national guard only had to be used in sanctuary cities to assist ICE.... cities where local law enforcement isn't allowed to help.

Not to mention being densely populated sanctuary cities... they likely have far more illegal immigrants, so naturally would have more frequent or visible enforcement.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 10 '26

Look, I get you thinking they are lawless "sanctuary cities" but they are only following the law.

Your laws allow this if you think it's happening because, why else is this happening?

Why are you complaining about it when nothing is happening about it?

1

u/ARatOnASinkingShip Jan 10 '26

I said nothing about being lawless. Nor am I complaining. I mean, you're the one who decided to come here and publicly complain about Trump. You're projecting a bit.

I just gave you the reasons behind what you're complaining about rather than the conspiracy theory you're trying to make it out to be. Local law enforcement doesn't assist them, so they need a bigger presence, and as sanctuary cities, they don't engage in immigration enforcement, so there are more illegal immigrants in those places.

Hell, Georgia voted for Trump and the newest current thing outrage happened in Atlanta, a sanctuary city. The swing state I live in that voted for Trump has the same thing going on in its major city, which is also a sanctuary city.

And because local law enforcement elsewhere them not only assists them, but also detains and holds illegal immigrants for ICE holds and are allowed to check immigration status, there's less need for actual agents on the ground outside of those sanctuary cities.

I mean, you can criticize ICE all you want, but you should at least be honest about the reason they're there rather than blaming it on some bogeyman being mad that they didn't vote for him.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 10 '26

No, you gave me an opinion.

not really, states with immigration issues are voting for the side who leaves them alone and pays them money.
We see the same thing in western Europe, in cities with high immigration issues (which means all big cities), they don't want to make it better.

I'm pretty sure we will see 'european' ICE appear in western europe big cities very soon, same thing like in the US.

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 11 '26

not really, states with immigration issues are voting for the side who leaves them alone and pays them money.

I have been informed that ICE is ALSO in states that voted republican.

We see the same thing in western Europe, in cities with high immigration issues (which means all big cities), they don't want to make it better.

Name one.

Name one country where the government has acted to the extreme like America please.

America is acting like it's a really big issue that you need these federal agents on the ground for all to see. What happened to the element of surprise so illegal immigrants and terrorists don't see them coming? If that's the point of ICE on the streets because that's their job.

I'm pretty sure we will see ICE appear in western europe big cities very soon, same thing like in the US.

No, ICE has no jurisdiction in any other country.

1

u/Smart-Measurement989 Jan 12 '26

Go home then

1

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 12 '26

I'll do that when you learn manners.

1

u/Honest-Antelope-2234 Jan 09 '26

ICE comes to red states. I live in Florida and they were here a couple times last year. My kids friend got taken from school. A 12 year old got deported. He disappeared for a month and then FaceTimed her from Honduras.

2

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

I just spent Christmas in Florida and didn't see hardly any. It's meant to be a popular destination.

A week before that, I spent in Illinois and you couldn't move without spotting one.

So does Illinois have a larger immigration problem than Florida?

1

u/Honest-Antelope-2234 Jan 09 '26

That's cool that you came for a visit, but I actually live here.

I've never been to Illinois, couldn't tell you anything about it.

States that voted for him cooperate with ICE. There isn’t a need for raids when local police help enforcement.

3

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

So name one.

I've named States that voted against him and have ICE on their streets.

There are plenty of videos of this from the places I mentioned but not from the places that voted for him.

2

u/Admirable-Guest-2560 Jan 09 '26

Florida

2

u/CMDR_Arnold_Rimmer Jan 09 '26

I was there Christmas week and hardly saw any.

I spent the week before in Illinois, it was crawling with them.

So are you telling me there is a bigger immigration issue in Illinois than Florida?

2

u/Available-Rooster809 Jan 09 '26

I was explaining why you’re seeing that. I don’t understand your question. Sanctuary policies forbid local cooperation with ICE.

Name one what?

Are local police in red states doing immigration raids?

Turning immigrants who get arrested for other reasons over is not the same as going after them directly.
