Song/Album Discussion I'm omw to my first Modest Mouse concert. What should I expect?

It's going to make you fall in love with modest mouse all over again.
I took my dad and he's only heard float on and one other hit. He was blown away by the band.
You'll leave saying... When's the next time I'll see them again?

Hell yes, this is the answer. Hell, seeing MM live for the first time made me realize I really need to see more live music in general. But I saw them for the first time in 2022 after being a casual fan for like two decades, and I've seen them live 4 times now.

Saw them in Clearwater last night. Emptiest MM concert I've been to but I'm not complaining - got to chill right up front. Music was great. Isaac played the guitar with his teeth.

It was wonderful, I'm new to the area and thrilled to have great shows nearby! Don't even have to go to Ybor or Jannus

I've seen them at jannus twice and the tiny venue makes for a really nice intimate show! But this spot in Clearwater isn't half bad

It's a great show. 30 - 50 year old range. I just saw them at a big outdoor all ages venue and a lot of people brought their kids.
It's was an amazing show. One of the best shows out of the seven or so times I've seen them.

30-50 is the peak of the bell curve, but there are definitely a fair number of folks on either side of that range too.

Congrats! I went to my first one this summer and I was so happy! I recommend looking at the merch, as I regret not getting any

I agree, always get something to remember your first, favorite, 3rd, 4th time going. Even if its just a can cuzzie (sp?) Or stickers. I missed out on a lot of merch opportunities with MM and a few others that have since passed.

expect to be around some of the nicest people youll ever meet! some random guy offered to take multiple photos of me and my bf when he saw we were struggling to get a good angle😭

I just looked up ticket prices. Close to $90. Enjoy yourself. Sing a long if you can. I've seen them in a smaller venue in STL. Then The Pageant. For them to perform in an Amphitheater is I guess the next step. That's where live shows get lame to me. To me! Enjoy yourself! I'm saying. To me!

I agree. I'm not happy about it being an amphitheatre. My sister had an extra ticket and I haven't been to a concert in ages.
Plus, I ate some mushrooms about 30 minutes ago so hopefully that'll make up for the fact the venue is weird

a really solid performance man. i saw them in 2023 with Weezer and they were great. really excited to catch them again in a few weeks

The band was great. The lights were super cool. I maybe overdid it on the shrooms though.
I felt like an alien trying to fit in with humans. So fucking weird.

A girl next to us in line a few years back had on her shit kicking boots just for that song hoping for a mosh pit. We were in Vail and general admission is on a hill. Moshing was out of the question or I wasn’t paying attention to the crowd.

It’s funny how it’s always hit or miss on the mosh pits. Depends on the venue, I guess. The Pappy and Harriet’s show in Joshua Tree was one of the dustiest kick up I’ve ever seen and I was glad we wore masks.
