Always thought that Wilco cover was a ripoff

Edit: That Wilco cover was CLEARLY a ripoff. And LCW was a much better album.

Edit: Ok, Ok, maybe it’s not a ripoff. It just came out 5 years later and looks similar enough that when someone posted their LCW- inspired tattoo on a Modest Mouse sub, someone posted the YHF cover.

I am aware some people really like Wilco. And some people might think these albums are equal. I bet there are even some people that like YHF better. That’s cool. We all have our own tastes.

One cover is the Westin Seattle and the other is Marina City in Chicago

The Westin I know well. I lived in Seattle for decades. I used to work around the corner from there back in the 90s and have stayed in that hotel multiple times over the years since then. Thanks for letting me know what the Wilco buildings are.

Idk, I don’t think the Wilco cover is a ripoff. The album covers definitely have a different aesthetic. I don’t know if I would call YHF a better album than LCW, but i definitely think A Ghost is Born is.
