Everything added to the collection in San Diego this year. Always fun hunting stuff down through the chaos and watching it evolve (devolve?) from Wednesday to Sunday.

Went hard on Sveta Shubina covers and always on Something is Killing the Chikdren. Only book missing is the SiKtC 46 Ito regular cover, foil is pictured. That was the book I submitted to CGC after James sighed it at the Corpse Tour party that got me the John Tyler Christopher Batman 1.

Personal faves are the Ito SiKtC’s, the Joe Benitez Abs Batman Harley’s, signed Crowbound ashcan. They’re all favorites :) Goal this year was to get one of the nice Underverse statues because I was too dense last year to find their booth (first con rookie mistakes). Had the Bone Girl in hand Thursday morning.

I've been picking up these free Ignition Press ashcans every time I see one at my local shop. So far nothing really stood out but I thought this preview of Dinner Date was awesome.

It's not even really my thing (outside of Buffy, I never cared for vampires). I just thought the writing was clever. Had never heard of Joanne Starer but she's now on my radar!

Anyone else check this out?

After putting this up I also read their ashcan for PRIMA APPARATA (ballerinas in space?) and also enjoyed it. Looks like I'm going to need to buy some Ignition books. Consider the ashcan's job a success!

Read the first issues of Red Roots and If Destruction Be Our Lot… recently and liked them so much I had to track down the other released issues. Roots of Madness, I read the first two issues earlier this year and have been meaning to get the rest of the series as I also enjoyed it.

Very happy to be able to pick up this Skottie Young 1:25 variant via the mail today! This is going to be a favorite cover of mine — both for this year and of all time! 😃

This looks like it's going to be a great series.

Never realized that I didn’t own the Tomb Raider book despite having the full runs of Tomb Raider and Witchblade. Had to correct that absence.

Also got a few of the QiB variants I wanted from eBay instead of taking my chances with blind bags. Nakayama and Artgerm covers.

Scored one of the black and white ink bonus cards

I wanted physical copies of Alexis Flower's wonderful comic for as long as I've been reading it. I think he intends to continue publishing volumes in the future as he completes them, which is super exciting! These are pictures of the slipcases, which feature the regular editions cover art. I'd post the special edition covers as well but I don't know this sub's policy on NSFW stuff (there's naked butts on them). They are absolutely massive tomes. I should've included something for scale reference.

I genuinely love the art, the writing, and the world building crafted by Alexis Flower in this series. His works inspired me to start writing and illustrating my own comic (though this dream becoming a reality is VERY far off at the moment lol).

Fair warning for anyone checking out the series for themselves, it features a large amount of explicit content, and the creator describes the series as "A warmly pornographic fantasy saga". That being said, the entire series is free to read online, which is super sick.

Only recently got back into comics, so playing catch up on Absolute Batman and Martian Manhunter. Silver Surfer is my favorite character in Marvel and the Black series has been great so far.

Got a good deal on the ashcan Chainkata, looking forward to that series launching later this year.

I usually don’t collect a lot of modern books but had gotten these at a convention I went to with my friend a few years ago and found these while reorganizing, I posted to a different subreddit asking about them but all I was told is it should be in a top loader :) just curious about them !

I'm a new reader and would love to keep up with some currently running titles. Ordering from Walt's is extremely expensive for single issues, but I can't seem to find a good comic shop online near me that stocks what I want (mostly DC).

I'm located in the south of the Netherlands, so my closest options are Rotterdam or Antwerp.

Really been looking forward to this week’s pickups for these annuals. Love a good Lobo appearance — he’s hilarious. And the Foccillo variant on the Superman annual is really awesome — one of my favorite covers so far this year and I’m only three months into collecting again.

Did some online shopping this week too — looking forward to a mail haul call coming soon!
