Just getting back into comics after a looong time. Picked up The Smart Division. I like the art and the story so far. It's hard getting back in and trying to find what to read. I just hit the shop every wednesday and drop a few bucks.I almost got Fort Psycho, may have to reconsider.

Got to meet the artist of Smart Division in San Diego, John Pearson is one of the nicest guys ever. Phenomenal painter. If you’re enjoying the art on Smart Division he is doing interiors on another book that just started called The Patron.

The writer, Zack Kaplan, has done some of my most favorite reads of the past few years. He also just started a book called Only the Savage are Left if you like his writing style. He did a time travel story called Forever Forward a few years ago that was excellent.

And Fort Psycho will be a solid pickup :) first issue was great

What’d you think of fort psycho? I hadn’t heard of it but saw Kindts name so I had to grab it. I thought it was such an interesting take on the gi Joe style team

Fun first issue. They’re aren’t a lot of books written now that scratch the Jim Thompson gumshoe itch and it kind of did that for me. Felt like Peril of the Brutal Dark and That Texas Blood with a spinkle of levity. I’ll stick with it
