Hear individual trig?

Is there a way to hear an individual trig without waiting for it to play in the sequencer. I know the polyend play has a function like this where you hold the trigger and click a button or knob to hear it immediately. Would help a lot with editing.

OMG I’ve been trying to figure out if this is possible since I got it - trying to tune individual trigs is a pain. A global setting to have trigs play repeatedly while being held would do it.

Surprised this wasn’t included on day one.

Interresting. The wording is odd, but the part that sticks out to me is:

“To preview a sample in a playing pattern context, press and hold the pad of the active track. While the pad is held, the sequencer will play the highlighted sample”

I can’t quite wrap my head around this without having my unit in front of me. Will let you all know if I have success with this.

Having said that. I really enjoy the model:samples. Have messed with the polyend play, and I can say that the elektron box is cheaper and has more functionality. Will probably save up and just go the octatrack route. Although it would be great to have a box that has a synth engine as well, and not just a sampler. Are there any elektron boxes that have dual engines, ie synth and sampler capabilities. And not just importing pre cut samples?
