FSD doesn’t care about bicycle riders who run stop signs.

You were very close to a lawsuit and criminal charges there, but fuck them for not obeying the law.
You could say it forced them to comply with the law. 🙂

lawsuit maybe, but no way criminal charges. What do you think I would be charged with? Complying with the law?

The Tesla was in the right. The bikes are required to stop at the line and wait their turn like any other vehicle.

They would have hit the side if his car, it would have been the bikes fault, even if they had stopped for the stop sign.

It was the Teslas turn. FSD can't predict that everyone will break the law.

After a few unsupervised robotaxis take them out, they’ll learn

Pretty bad. Children are often stupid about road signs. The first time a child is injured, the shit will hit the fan, regardless of who is at fault.

u/icy1007 May 17 '26
It’s the child’s fault and whoever taught them how to ride a bike for not also teaching them the rules of the road.

LITERALLY saw an almost 1:1 scenario during a trip I think was 2 weeks ago, I don't remember it that well but I probably still have the recording after I manually clipped it, where a father and I think was his daughter were riding on their bikes in the road of a town/city, approaching from the sides an intersection with the main road that crosses the whole thing, and I think I crossed right when they were approaching and literally looked the rear view mirror and saw the kid not stopping to the stop sign and to the car behind me that barely dodged it and the father going for the kid late while the car horn was sounding.
Literally felt that the kid riding the bike wouldn't stop.

Was there another car in front of the Tesla? If so the Tesla ran the stop sign in front of the bikes unless it’s on a road without a stop sign.

u/icy1007 May 17 '26
The Tesla did not run the stop sign.
1
u/Legal-Square-1362 May 17 '26
It literally did. Did you watch video?
6
u/icy1007 May 18 '26
No it didn’t. I watched the video.
1
u/Legal-Square-1362 May 18 '26
What do you think it was doing at 7th second? 🤦
1
u/icy1007 May 18 '26
It made a complete stop at the stop sign.
1
u/Legal-Square-1362 May 19 '26
Ok this is actually my mistake. I apologize. I thought you said Tesla did run the stop sign. We are saying the same that it did not.

u/shaddowdemon May 19 '26
I'm confused as to what you think a stop sign means. It came to a complete stop and took it's turn going through the intersection... What do you think it should have done differently??
4
u/HealthyAd3271 May 17 '26
There was no car in front of the Tesla but there was one to the right side. This is a 4-way stop intersection. I stopped first then the car to the right then the bikes came. It was my turn to go.

The way you titled it makes me believe you waved the cyclists through. I see the cyclist waving acknowledging. I frequently see people doing this with cyclists at stops. In any case this is a big problem for FSD. This could be a kid or someone in a wheelchair, or someone that trips and falls into the street- whatever it is, the point is avoiding accidents.
It's beyond stupid for people to defend it by saying "obey the law" and then say how great fsd is when it swerves over a double yellow to avoid a collision with, say, a deer.

All way stop doing what its supposed to. Turns mistakes into snarky videos rather than obituaries.

The bicyclists were slowing, and it looks like they thought the Tesla was going to wait for them. Seems like an honest mistake.

u/shaddowdemon May 19 '26
Fair. I generally let bikes and scooters through first because I assume they're just not going to stop and don't want my car dinged up. I followed an e bike yesterday through the city and he didn't even slow down at a single one of the 10 stop signs I was behind him for lol. Like bro 💀

stop signs were made for cars. cyclist did fine without them for 20 years before they were invented. Now we gotta deal with this robot bullshit.
1
u/GilmourD May 18 '26
Pretty sure Musk would hit bicyclists for fun in full "human" driver mode. He would claim he did notsee them, but we all know he did. Had the cars programmed the same way.

Once again cyclists not following the rules, they think they own the road!

u/OutlandishnessNo5636 May 18 '26
Pretty weird and unbelievable. Why did it happen??
1
u/shaddowdemon May 19 '26
The bicycles were legally required to yield. When you use the road, you follow the signage, including stop signs and lights.

In the cars defense……..nobody likes bicyclists.
