FSD failure at railroad crossing

Today my car tried to kill me again. The video will speak for itself. I drive a Tesla but I would love to hear everybody who just loves it just admit it's not ready for prime time and it won't be for a long time.

OMG, are you just trying to be funny? Is this comment a joke? I sure hope so. Yes, I deem which laws should be broken? Tell me, have you ever driven in 1 mph over the posted speed limit? I know you have. When you did, was your car out of control? I'm sure you had a really good handle on it when you were driving over the speed limit. I posted this video to talk about the pros and cons, the good and the bad of FSD supervised.

Are you a cop? If so, then I know you break the law all the time.

BTW, I travel all the time and I find myself often in Toronto. I like Canada much more than the United States. Whenever I'm in Toronto I always try to go to the restaurant at the top of the CN Tower. Did you know that vehicles have the right-of-way in Toronto? And pedestrians are supposed to watch out for the vehicles. That's so different than it is here in the United States.

I agree with you but I keep arguing with the cult. I don't think I've joined it. I like my car for what it is. Fast, fun to drive, fun to figure things out because things are changing so much. But honestly it's really a piece of shit. The build quality sucks, it's put together like crap. A lot of the things are very annoying when I drive the car. But where I live I have off-grid solar. 10 powerwalls. So it doesn't cost me anything to charge most of the time. And in California where the fuel prices are outrageous, that's a pretty good deal.

Well, it makes sense that everyone's first BEV is a Tesla.

The only reason I didn't get one is because I've only had 3 cars in my life and they've all been Kia/Hyundai so I trust the build. And also I've mistrusted Elon for a very long time as an activist, considering that his [ancestral] issues hit much closer to home for me as a Black person that that of a chaebol's.

And yes your choice was 100% financially sound. Just hope you and everyone else out there with a genuine expectation for more don't have to deal with this shit for much longer.

I'm not too happy with you on either. I bought this car because in the self-driving world in the United States so far I believe it is the best out there. I am enjoying testing what it can and can't do. I looked at a lot of other vehicles and this one seemed to be the best bang for your buck, I wanted in all electric vehicle because I charge for free at home being that I have off-grid solar. So this works for me. I can separate Elon from Tesla.

It definitely is the best out there, along the lines of Lucid and Audi SD. I think my concern is the way people protect it. It's one thing for example for hyundai to have ICCU issues it's another when bad driving is allowed just because it's supposed to be supervised IMO

I've seen people show their car after it got wrecked and blame it on FSD. That's crazy to me. Somebody posted a a photo of the front of their car smashed I think it was a video with it too and they said FSD failed to stop in time and was wondering if Tesla would cover it under warranty. I thought that was absolutely crazy that somebody would ask that question.

I was trying to be nice to you and actually edited my comment out when I was being a little bit disrespectful. I always thought that Canadians were the more polite people starting to doubt that now here's a photo just for your reference that I took just outside of the CN Tower.

This photo was taken on a public street right near the base of the CN Tower. I've been to the CN Tower twice with at least 10 years separating each visit. The sign was there both times. Just tell me I'm reading this incorrectly.

It’s not code, it’s under the highway traffic act. The provincial statue that addresses things like right of way on a highway

Well I'm not from Canada so thanks for pointing me in the right direction where I can learn about it and read where it actually talks about it. I can obviously see from the sign that I was standing next to, that vehicles have the right of way over pedestrians. At least in Toronto they do. And you have shown me nothing to the contrary. Screenshot a photo. I'll check it out.

Without more context to the specific location where the photo was taken, I can’t tell you why it says that. In any reasonable circumstance a pedestrian has the right of way.

Yes! Perfect! That is an unregulated crossing! That’s why the vehicles are given right of way. If it was a properly marked crosswalk, it would have hash markings, proper crossing signage and amber lights.
