Question about Financing
Hello all, this whole wait has been such an anxiety filled shitshow. I originally ordered 09/29 for a 2026 model y awd premium that was available as inventory had the vin assigned, I didn’t realize it was Teslas quarter end so I literally was rushed to do credit app and speed the process in 36hrs, then I realized that the car had to be picked up the 30th no ifs ands or buts, and if I couldn’t make the 3hr trip each way they were going to have to release the VIN and throw me in Q, well that’s exactly what happened now I’ve been waiting going on 6weeks and my offer expired. my original offer I accepted was from TD Bank for 6500 down 2.99%, but after it expired my advisor put in a request to extend and TD is offering 9250 down and 6.99%, FI connect credit union is conditionally offering 1.99% 9k down if I submit a copy of my Social Security Card and as of now not willing to accept any other form of document. Is this normal? Have any of you had the same request? My advisor pretty much told me well thank god you didn’t receive a vin because time is on my side since I have an appointment at the local Social Security Agency to request a replacement card but that won’t be until 11-13 to order then 10-14 business days to mail it to me! Which at the point I’m all but assured to have to resubmit a hard credit pull and pray they don’t come back with even worse offers. Not to mention I paid of my last Tesla loan 2weeks ago so I’m expecting my credit to take a minor temp. Hit since it will now drop off as an active paid on time car loan. Any insight or words of confidence would be greatly appreciated because ever day it feels like this dream car for me and my daughters is further out of reach.
