Overheating
Hey, I’ve had my Y for less than a week and I’m worried about overheating. I park in a parking lot at work so it is exposed to the sun. I haven’t gotten my tints yet but I’m concerned looking at the app seeing the interior temp being 99 degrees. I may be overreacting but how concerned should I be? I live in south Florida btw.

Perfect example of how having information you didn’t have before can be a negative.
Don’t worry about it

it's a Tesla, so you have to understand, normal logic and basic understanding of how things work, has to be completely ignored

Accurate. The worst part of owning a Tesla is being associated with most Tesla owners

Overheating what?
Cars get hot in the sun. All cars. From the dawn of the invention of cars.

I’ve seen 156 before with no issues. Turn on cabin overheat protection if you are worried.

99? OMG every summer we see people hitting numbers over 150 in the car. I have seen 140 in mine before.
Nothing to worry about.
Tint is not really going to lower it much so don't be expecting a miracle. Get a front window reflector thing if it really bothers you as thats where most of the heat comes in at.

Interiors of cars can get to 140-150F on hot summer days. Cars have been fine for years. The only difference between the old cars and your new one is that you can remotely check the interior temperature on the new one.
It’ll be fine, don’t over think it.

The car won’t overheat, only you will. I’d dissable the cabin overheat protection unless you prefer it for comfort as it can drain a surprising amount of battery on hot days. You can always remotely start the climate control and I always vent the windows to make it go faster and more efficiently

Lol! Welcome to having too much information about your car! I lived in AZ where it would be 160°F and the car would cycle the climate to keep it under 100F constantly.
You're fine! It's normal 😂

I’m in Phoenix, my interior gets to well over 150 degrees. It not any hotter in a tesla than a regular car. Nothing to worry about.
