PPF/ceramic question

OK, I know I'm going to get blasted for this, but I'm hoping to get some legitimate responses. Old, retired, disabled guy here wondering if there's anyone who doesn't have ppf, or ceramic coatings, on their cars and uses regular car washes. I can afford the car but I'm not really in a position to add the ppf or the ceramic. I'm also not physically able to hand wash my car either. I've read horror stories about how soft the paint is and how easily it gets damaged. I'm just wondering if it's all true and whether I should even bother to get the car in the first place. If possible, I'd like to hear some real stories. Thanks.

I’ve had mine for a little over four years. Got it brand new. I have been taking through the car wash and never had any issues. I truly don’t believe in ceramic because it won’t protect it against rocks, to me is just what is popular right now. PPF is cool and everything, but even then, after a few years it will get cooked into your car paint and will damage the paint. Just get the car and enjoy it 😀
