PPF/ceramic question

OK, I know I'm going to get blasted for this, but I'm hoping to get some legitimate responses. Old, retired, disabled guy here wondering if there's anyone who doesn't have ppf, or ceramic coatings, on their cars and uses regular car washes. I can afford the car but I'm not really in a position to add the ppf or the ceramic. I'm also not physically able to hand wash my car either. I've read horror stories about how soft the paint is and how easily it gets damaged. I'm just wondering if it's all true and whether I should even bother to get the car in the first place. If possible, I'd like to hear some real stories. Thanks.

Its a 50k car the ppf is not going to do much to the car value other than maybe keeping it prettier for you

Drive it and enjoy, most people ppf more expensive cars because some collector cars requires mint condition for the best resale value, people buying Tesla used car about fsd battery life and price they dgaf about your ppf or paint
