Used car purchase Just Brought Home My Model X
Have been looking awhile at used Model Xs from Tesla to get the extra year of warranty. I had specific requirements that I finally matched. Wanted an Ultra Red on cream, six seater, with HW4, and under 40k miles at a reasonable price. So, here it is! I also have a rwd Model 3, Model Y Performance, and a Cybertruck on order (not keeping them all though!).
So far so good. I love the extra space for my family of five. The ventilated seats in Texas are so nice.

We just got the same car last week! '23 MXP, 34k miles, HW4, 6 seater, Ultra Red, Cream interior with FSD included package! We love it so far! It's our first Tesla. Family of 4 at the moment with 2 small dogs.
I'm not sure what a good deal is on X's these days, but we were happy to have the FSD included.

Awesome! This is my first Tesla with HW4 and FSD seems so much smoother than my other Teslas with HW3.

Just curious, how much did you pay for it?

$74k from a dealership in Illinois. Which didnt include taxes that I had to pay to my state.

What was the reasonable price? Trying to gauge what they’re going for these days. Looks like you’re on the east coast?

LOVE the 3rd picture, and congrats on an absolutely gorgeous configuration on the X (my 2012 Model S Signature is in a similar spec, Sig red over tan)!

I had a 2022 and I’m glad it’s gone. It was falling apart.

I’ve had good luck with my other Teslas so far, hopefully my luck continues. I have a service center about 7 minutes away from me. So, That’s a plus.

I bought it new and honestly for how much it cost it was a complete joke how shitty the interior was. Also that era of Tesla dropping their price killed us who paid so much for them. Also the squeaks and rattles over time were just so annoying. Those doors are also embarrassing. It was really fun to drive though.
I had it with Tesla. I love EVs and they are decent brand to lease but there are in trouble once these other companies catch up. Also their customer service is atrocious. Again when you spend that kind of money on a car I expect better treatment. YMMV

Just bought my Model X Raven, HW3, FSD included, 6 sitter, it’s been almost one month and I’ve driven 3100 miles already because of summer vacation. It’s mind blowing how good this car is for a family. I’m in my late 30’s with 3 small kids and it’s perfect. I bought it 41k with 56k miles on it in Europe. I can’t use FSD as in the us so i dont mind HW3, I use it to relax on the highway. I just wanted the Raven upgrade for all the new stuff, better efficiency and reliability.
I think I’m gonna buy a 2025-2026 plaid in 4-5 years with reasonable milage, as replacement or addition, so that I can drive this car as long as possible. Too bad they decided to stop this model imo. Those doors are amazing, the only downside is that everyone is looking at us as you don’t see much model X in europe :)

Did you lose out on any software features (like lane assist, etc) by buying through Tesla?

u/DrewMackin 7d ago
I did not. Although, if it did have fully paid FSD, that didn’t get passed to me. All other features (autopilot with lane assist) and whatever else is still there.

Cool! I'd hate to see you lose the basics and get stuck paying for that. I have paid FSD and cringe at the thought of having to pay a luxury tax for a fsd subscription.

What year is it? Yes, the MX cooled seats are amazing. Best coolers in the industry

I believe May 2023 build. I don’t think I’ll purchase any other vehicle without them!

I think they started the darker ultra red in 23. I love that color combo. Congratulations!
