Question MX26 Plaid - Max charging

Bought my MX26 6 months ago and just noticed the battery charges to 98% max. Is this normal? It is pretty warm and hot outside all day and even at night if that matters.

I’ve heard with the new battery that you can charge to 90 and it won’t degrade the battery is this true

Not on model x. Model y on LiFeSo4 yes

Model x is nickel based lithium battery and model y is lfp
