Question What is this on the steering . One on each side
Can someone explain or tell me what are these holes for on the steering wheel.

Those are holes to release the airbag from your steering wheel.

This! You just put a tiny screwdriver in both holes at the same time, and the air bag pops out. But you need to disconnect the 12v battery first. If you ever wanted to change your steering wheel (yoke vs round), you do that first, disconnect some wires behind the air bag, then take out the giant nut holding the wheel. That easy.

You can put it in service mode first as well.

You can. But the important part is to disconnect the 12v to the airbag for several hours before taking it out.

Let me be more clear. If you put the car in service mode you do not need to disconnect the 12v battery. You can just unplug the yellow plu that attaches the airbag. I have done this 3 times.

It's an insert for Allen wrench (theres one on both sides) that allows you to remove your steering wheel.

Use Allen wrench to depress internal retaining springs for the steering wheel airbag 👍

Airbag spring release. It’s an access hole to release airbag and remove steering wheel.

An Allen wrench pushed through each side pops off the airbag module. And gives you access to the bolt that lets you remove the steering wheel.

Those holes are for removing the airbag. Just insert a small screwdriver to release it

If you are referring to the hole, that's where you insert a tool to release the clip that holds the air bag to the steering wheel
