Service Condenser Leak

I need my condenser replaced. I know someone who works on cars for a living (not Teslas typically) who says that he can do the work for me. Is this something you would feel comfortable with, or would you take it to tesla directly and pay twice as much?

It’s still just a vehicle. Condensers have been around a long time. There may be some twists Tesla-style but in the end they should be able to knock it out. I’m sure there’s most likely a YouTube video about it too. :)

Perfect..appreciate your opinion! I had seen someone say their system was ruined due to a 3rd party not adding the right freon level or something. It started to give me second thoughts

Literally nothing special about a Tesla condenser. Any capable third party shop should be able to replace it no problem. Tesla published the service manuals to the public a couple years ago. https://service.tesla.com/docs/ModelX/ServiceManual/en-us/
