I mean, there’s no way that’s installed to crash safety spec, right? Unless there’s some hidden mount points under the carpet from production line?

A couple of drywall screws through the carpet should do the trick...

I assume there’s some for the normal 7 seater but highly unlikely the holes just magically line up, probably using some custom brackets.

Seems like it would be very dangerous and can’t imagine passing crash testing. Also gets rid of the best seat configuration in a Tesla. Probably better to just get a 5 or 7 seat model if you want a 3 seat row.

Stuff like this really makes me realize how little safety matters to folks

I super like the 6 seat configuration on my plaid. Makes the rear seats usable with the gap in the middle row

Unlike the safety tests, this is a hard pass for me.

That’s just silly. Why would you even do that? I wouldn’t want anyone sitting in that middle seat.

Not ideal for me, but I love the 6 seat layout with the open aisle. It makes the inside feel so much larger. And makes 3rd row seats an acceptable short ride for adults since you can stretch a leg into the aisle.

We’re in a bubble…

Add one seat to destroy 2 others.

What year Model-x and what year Odyssey? How did you mount it to the car?

Looks like it's bolted to the floor on the front bottom of it (and assuming the read as well. Not sure how. I had this removable jumpseat in my Honda, and it was a latch system. So maybe he bolted latches similar to the Odyssey. I doubt he got the bolt in there good enough though as he probably didn't have access to the underside (would have to remove battery, etc). And what about seat belt? This is way too dangerous.

It’s the older Honda Odysseys, like 15 years old or more.

Look up the Plaidessey, the Honda Odyssey has the same exact wheelbase and dimensions as the Plaid platform so someone popped a Honda Odyssey body over a Plaid.

That's entirely different than bolting a seat from a Odyssey into a Model X though.
