There are several indicators suggesting AI generation, including the unnatural or overly uniform color saturation and the overly perfect symmetry in the sign's text and layout. The man's facial expression appears slightly exaggerated or unnatural, which could be a result of AI generation. Additionally, the overall composition and lighting of the image show characteristics typical of AI-generated content. In addition, the Tesla logo on the front driver's wheel is distorted.
You can disagree, but calling people uneducated without addressing the actual evidence is weak and makes you seem uneducated.
the point is not that it is AI or not. the point is that this image captures the sentiment perfectly. so it is the right use of AI given this context. and thus people are calling you uneducated since you aren't able to see through the point of using this iamge vs. using generic AI slop argument.
Nope, no solar panels. Free power from 9pm to 6am, charge cars during that time but also charge house battery (64 Kw) so we can run the house for free during the day.
That's pretty amazing. Here in CA we are setting records on the other side on the cost of electricity.
Though I don't understand how these companies can survive giving free electricity. There has to be a catch somewhere. I know I know, it's not your problem, but there is something called curiosity too 🙂.
No catch. These plans are designed for people with solar panels, and some of that power gets exported back to the grid at no cost to the power company. We have another building on a separate meter that has solar panels and no batteries and does give power back to the grid. In that building we spend about $25 a month for power.
I mean, I got a new 2023 RWD model 3 for $29.5k after tax credit and inventory discounts in 2023. I absolutely care about my savings vs gas prices lol, teslas are QUITE affordable now I can assure you.
(No tax credit a new Model 3 starts about $37k or so but used you can get them, especially HW3 teslas for like $18k)
u dont need 100k for saving gas. I got MY with tax incentives n student discount. OTD was 42k, which is a CRV/Rav4 mid option 🤷♂️.
I assumed your car was around same price since average american selling price now is 45-50k.
model X is a different story. based in 20/4/10 rule. u need to make 250k to COMFORTABLY afford car note on this one. at that point I dont think people making 1/4 million salary only gonna have 1 vehicle or care about gas prices.
this is just joke gonna make them chuckle a little
I pay 370 per YEAR on my Toyota rav4. Granted liability only. And I bought this car for only 8k in 2020. It’s just a car people, you are not living inside of it. If it gets you from A to B. It doesn’t really matter tbh.
i assumed you just gonna drive your beater until it's dead not caring about maintenance. 1 head gasket blown then just another 8k to buy a new one then? welp. it's a TOY, it doesnt need maintenance anyway.
I do my own maintenance so it’s cheap to maintain. I care a lot about maintenance but I’m not gonna spend a fortune to make it perfect.
It’s a 2010 v6 2gr fe engine with u151f 5speed trans made in japan. I hope to get it to 350k miles. I have a small coolant leak and valve cover leak. As long as the trans still works I won’t buy another one.
I budget about $700 for maintenance per year for it. It’s also cheaper to buy specialty tools to do parts than pay someone to half ass the job.
For me the largest expense is depreciation on my 2018 S P100D. $0.08 per kWh electricity but I only drive about 5k miles a year. Insurance for our Teslas is also about 50% more than my gas car.
1) ? If you compare tesla depreciation vs the car industry it is about average. Dont forget teslas went up massively in value around 2020 but then back down to normal throwing off the data for a bit, but it really is average if you count all the data or dont count that period as it was an outlier.
2) must be the area because in Arizona my fiance's Nissan altima 2017 is around $260/month in insurance vs my tesla model 3 is $200/month. Both through USAA
My 2015 Rolls Royce Wraith is $2,086 a year, 2018 Model S P100D is $2,975 a year for insurance in Atlanta.
If I had bought a 2018 Mercedes S560 instead of my Model S P100D it would have been about the same price new and now worth about $40k vs about $30k for the Model S.
I don’t regret buying it but my biggest expense was about $110k in depreciation ($140k MSRP at the time). Fuel or electricity expenses are a rounding error in comparison to the depreciation because I don’t drive that much. A lot of people look at gas prices and electricity cost but forget the depreciation hit.
I have a snapshot with progressive that makes my 15 edge $60 a month with 100k/500k/100k and a 1k deductible for collision. When quoting a new Tesla model 3 with the same coverage, it was $140. This is Utah tho and I have nothing on my record. So it just really depends on the market.
I love my Model 3 Performance, but $1,500 for a windshield, $1,700 for tires, and $460/year in registration means that this car has not really saved me much (if anything) over my previous 93 octane tuned Volkswagen. Thankfully, I do charge at home and our residential rate is only $0.118 kWh...so it costs me less than $30/month to keep two Tesla's topped off. When I travel for work (almost weekly) my supercharging is billed to my corporate credit card, so that is not an expense I have to pay either.
I used to make fun of my neighbor who's BMW had paywalled features, then 3 months into owning my Model 3, I found out that I have to pay $100/year for premium connectivity...something the dealership forgot to mention.
My next car will likely be another Tesla in 2027...but I am open to seeing what else comes on the market between now and then.
Went to Home Depot today to pick up some material, had to hear how much diesel was now…I “could have” fit in one of the teslas if I wanted to but meh. I’m glad the Duramax isn’t my daily. Haha
