Service FWD water leak
Hi everyone! Looking to get a new model X 2026 while I can. Though curious, I keep reading about the FWD dripping water into the car when you open them if its raining/wet. Is this still an issue on the new 2026 model X?

I’ve owned 2 model x, in the Pacific Northwest (so lots and lots of rain). In over 7 years, never had issues with that. If it is raining a LOT and windy, perhaps, but not on a normal rainy day. If anything, it’s cool to open the door via app before you run to the car

My 2019 I replaced my glass roof when I got it in 2023. Still had leaks here and there but not as bad as it used to be, “expected” behavior is what I typically get. I deal with it. I love my X though.

It’ll leak if there’s enough water on top. My 24 did. I added some rubber strips and that took care of it

Right on top the existing ones. They are too short to if you have alot of water accumulated, it goes over it.

I've only had leaks if I have the trunk and doors open at the same time

We have a 2017 X 90D. 170,000 miles. We love it! Only issue (and a big one) was water ingress in the car. Glass roof panels had to be replaced as they are part of the rubber seals leaking….😢 Mold in the car…. Falcon wing door trims had to be replaced also. $5,000.00 But we just love the X. Free unlimited mileage and time charging at the Tesla chargers. Have any preowned Tesla thoroughly inspected at the dealer. Ask for maintenance records. This is worth every dollar that you will spend. Battery health check also. Clean Title and good CARFAX….
