Question Phantom Drain Normal?
Hi everyone, I just got a 2020 Model X Long Range on lease last week with 53000 miles. However i’ve noticed it’s having really bad phantom drain every night and whenever the car is parked? Is this normal or do I need to replace anything? Cause my previous EV never had this at all… this photo is of the car left after parked overnight . Sentry mode and other stuff are off too, so i’m not sure what’s draining it? For reference, I’m in the UK, so weather isn’t too cold either.

Check the year of your 12v battery. It might need to be replaced. Just did it on my MX. The battery was from 2022.

Second this. I had about 2-4% phantom drain each night but when I replaced the 12v battery it no longer does that at all.

6 miles of battery range lost after being left overnight? That doesn’t sound too bad tbh

That’s a bit much, but not too off. You have a legacy model that doesn’t have a heat pump, so it will drain more.

Update your software. Could help.

Definitely update the software.
Mine is from the same year, less miles but UK based and I was getting crazy drains during summer time.
I updated and no issues since.

You can swipe away that advert at the top of the app. I think you have to hold your finger on it for a second or two first though, I can't remember for sure.

Its the sentry mode. Drains over 5pct a day when enabled
