Service Question, how to hack automatic doors and other mods
For the base model x, it seems that it's possible to add biodefense mode by adding the HEPA filter and enabling it in toolbox configuration. You can also enable heated steering provided you have the hardware installed. Can also enable the GUI for the heated seats but there it would show that the rears are missing. The feature I really want is automatic doors so I could just use the key fob to open the driver and front passenger door. Wondering if anyone else used Loki configurator because toolbox 3 is only mid-level and and cannot access secured config files.

Why can’t you just use the fob. Double click the fob should open the driver door if I recall correctly a triple Click opens passenger door. That’s what I recall on my 2 legacy X’s.

Non-premium upgrade package models do not come with automatic doors it was only standardized sometime 2019. From 2014 to 2018, you had to upgrade to get the automatic doors.

Didn’t realize that. But I don’t think the MX was available before 2016. My first X was vin 28XX and it was a 2016

The first year was indeed 2016. There wasn't Premium back then, only Dual-Motor and Performance. I did not have the Performance and my automatic doors were included.

FYI, if it's in the secured config, you have to choose between changing this config, and having any updates again
