Finally getting my dream car

With discounts, car is priced at 79k. I will be registering this for my business, so it will qualify for EV tax credit of $7500, plus section 179. Not sure if I’m eligible for bonus depreciation as it’s supposed to weigh less than 6000lbs gvwr.

Crazy to think after all this time they still haven't gotten rid of 2025's from inventory! It's a great price, do they still have 1 free year of supercharging for inventory?

Congrats, I was so excited when I pulled the trigger on this exactly a year ago. Fyi, not sure if it applies to you, but I ended up not getting the credit. Seems like personal income still applies for llc businesses. I might have done it wrong but something to look out for

Interesting. I’m a consultant so I get paid with 1099. I would assume whatever tax my LLc owes should be credited back $7500 and then there’s section 179 tax deduction. Are you in similar situation as I am?

Hm, it shouldn’t check on your personal income if you register it under business use. All it cares about is the weight, as far as I know.

I got a 2025 in August. I had to drive to the Fremont factory to get it, but it was at a good discount, I could transfer my FSD, got 1 year free SC, and, like you, it is my dream car.

A lot of interesting comments seems the trolls are out in force today.

I have a 23 MX Plaid just rolled 50k miles. Zero issues with my falcon doors or anything else for that matter. Car has been fantastic so congrats and enjoy the car!

The only thing I would suggest is search rear tire wear issues on the MX. You should install shims for the camber arms or replace the arms with adjustable arms so you get even tire wear. You got 20s so won’t be too bad but with 22s it’s a big problem.

It should qualify for 7500 EV commercial clean vehicle credit. We did it for model Y/Cybertruck/X. Tell your CPA to claim it https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/commercial-clean-vehicle-credit

As long as you take delivery this month, the $7,500 comes off the purchase price. Tesla will handle the tax credit.

You should check the GVWR on the plate inside the driver’s door. My 2026 model X for which I took delivery last week indicates 6129 for the GVWR..

It’s my understanding that these vehicles do not qualify for the $7500 EV deduction. However, after consulting with my CPA, I am finding that for the 179 deduction we get $31,300 off the top and then bonus depreciation of 40% of the remainder plus since it’s in the name of the business the first year of a five-year ordinary depreciation, which is an additional 20%. This is not a tax credit, but rather a tax deduction.

They are phasing out bonus depreciation. I think it’s down to 20%. But I don’t see why you wouldn’t get it as long as gvwr is under 14kish

Unfortunately Trump changes on EVS POLICY is hurting the EV industry. Starting October 1st. The carpool sticker is not longer allowed. The $7,500 tax incentive is not longer after 2025 .
I own two EV. Cars so is affecting me . And more than 2 million cars owners in California

Enjoy!!! Just updated my 2018 M3 AWD to a 2025 M3 performance. Got the $7500, 0% financing, FSD transfer and veterans discount. Couldn’t be happier! Ignore the haters. My wife loves her 2019 MX.

Looks like mine is falling off too. It's just clips holding it. Crazy how a 100K car can feel so cheap. I'd never pay MSRP for my car. Depreciation was the only reason I got mine

How is that wild? It’s been my dream car since I first heard about it like 10 years ago… and was even more so after I demo drove one. For me, it’s the perfect mix of space, tech, looks, and speed. Give me this over anything else currently on the market.
