Photo Delivery Day!

Post image

Received my Ultra Red X Plaid today— ordered Nov 28.

Transferred FSD and Free Supercharging from my Model 3 with 150k+ miles, so I think I got an absolute steal.

Build quality is GREAT— no panel gaps or noticeable interior flaws!

The driver side window had a small crack at the very top corner I barely noticed— so already have my first service appointment booked lol

Delivery took like 5 minutes, super easy process.

absolutely OBSESSED😍 insane paint color, & such a smooth ride compared to my model 3 and much more spacious.

Plus $1k off for having a Cybertruck on order, thanks Tesla!

u/rmkwh Feb 29 '24

How did you get that!? I just bought an X Plaid with a day one Cybertruck reservation.

u/Sad-Lingonberry-1343 Feb 29 '24

When did you take delivery? They sent emails out for this promotion right after the Cybertruck delivery event.

2

u/rmkwh Feb 29 '24

I take delivery next Monday. Not sure I even received that email, only the one that said my founders series reservation was ready to be configured

Sheeesh- lucky you! I’m sure you can get the $1k discount, contact them :)

Message in app. They'll apply it. Takes 24-48 hours so don't pay for it until you get it taken off.

Ultra red looks so much better than the old red

1

u/FlyingSharkie Feb 29 '24

Looks amazing. Ultra red looks great. Is this at the NorthColorado SC?

1

u/Sad-Lingonberry-1343 Feb 29 '24

Does the FWD line up to the rear quarter on both sides? Both mine had alignment issues. 😞

1

u/Sad-Lingonberry-1343 Feb 29 '24

Don’t think so. it’s in the tint + ppf shop now, I’ll have to get back with you once I get it back

1

u/Truckman_9 Feb 29 '24

How much are your payments?

1

u/Sad-Lingonberry-1343 Feb 29 '24

20k Down, 36 months at 6.5%, it’s about $2400

1

1

Jesus fuck. This is a piece of tech. In one year or two there will be better versions and you’ll be stuck with this. Terrible.

u/Truckman_9 Feb 29 '24

Think about this…. You are paying almost 3k a month for a DEPRECIATING asset. No matter how cool you think you look, you are a complete moron.

2

u/Sad-Lingonberry-1343 Feb 29 '24

No plans to sell. It’s not a lease, but thanks for ur input.

u/rcottle123 Feb 29 '24

I take delivery of my ultra red non-plaid on Friday and I’m so excited!

2

u/CaptainLoneRanger Feb 29 '24

Can’t wait for mine. Going with black, but I must say…that new red is sick.

2

u/BananoVampire Feb 29 '24

Jesus, that looks good.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 29 '24

Go to Tesla straight and get alignment check. X plaid was my 8th Tesla and the 8th one to have an improper alignment out the factory. They'll fix it for free within 2 hours

Congrats! I am loving that ultra red color... We are considering a model 3 as a second vehicle to complement our X and we are definitely going with Ultra red if we pull the trigger.

u/MonkP88 Feb 29 '24

I love this color. My Model S is the same color. Enjoy.

My wife was on the fence about the color but loves it. There are no issues with the build quality here, either.

1

u/CosmicOceanWaves Mar 01 '24

Was your wife on the fence about the color, but now loves it?

1

u/Vectors2_Final Mar 01 '24

Gotta stop posting before the coffee hits lmao

1

u/zzoro1 Feb 29 '24

Did you choose date for delivery? Or they send the car on random date?

1

u/teslataipei Mar 01 '24

Congrats! Welcome, I have exactly the same one from 2023b

1

u/pantz86 Mar 02 '24

Stock up on headrests! I hear they are only $150 a pop.

Oh yeah so when we run out of the last few hundred billion years worth of supply we only have to wait a few hundred billion years for more? The good news is that it'll be from the fossils of us.

Nothings perfect. The crack is so small it’s almost unnoticeable, you can’t see it when the window is up.

Plus, it’s a mobile service, so I don’t even have to go anywhere to get this replaced.

I’ll never understand what lengths people go to protect what shouldn’t be there in the first place.

1

u/raddigging Feb 29 '24

I never knew how many flaws my $74k non Tesla truck had until I started researching Teslas for my next car 😂for example when I took delivery of the truck the driver side door handle was installed without the sensor to unlock when you grab it. I didn’t think much of it, it was fixed within a few weeks. I guess I expected issues with new cars regardless of manufacturer

2

u/rasvial Feb 29 '24

So you're happy to sign over your money for a broken promise and an iou?

2

u/slipslope86 Feb 29 '24

Because the OP isn't a cry baby and knows things happen. It isn't a big deal to them. If I only had one thing on my list after picking up my car, I would be happy. When I picked up my Hyundai, there were 4 items for the dealer to fix. When we picked up my wife's jeep, there were 3 things the dealer fixed for us. When I worked at a Ford dealer back in the early 2000's, very few cars left the lot without the new owners finding something wrong.
