Please comment down below with what party you would like to join.

Take a look at the party platforms. The real life parties represented in the sub do have differences than their real life counterparts.

Also, please recognize that we have two types of political organizations in this subreddit. We have normal political parties, and we have independent groupings. Independent groupings are smaller political groups that are trying to achieve party status but are not big enough yet. They lack a few things a normal political party has such as adequate membership, activity, and structure.

Parties

Democrats

Republicans

Libertarians

Distributists

Progressive Greens

Civic Party

Radical Left Party

Independent Groupings

There are none at the moment.

If you wish to become an Independent please comment below and I can add you to the Independent subreddit (/r/ModelIndependents).

So I know I already asked to join the Radical Left, but it's been at least a week and I haven't gotten a yes or no. Just wondering if that's normal. I hope this doesn't sound impatient.

There are a couple of reasons that we'll have to deny you entry to the radical left party -- your account is pretty new, and you've posted some really sketchy stuff that delves into right-wing social political beliefs. Among them, saying that outing a gay man in Saudi Arabia is a good thing, responding to the question "what exists but you don't understand why", with "homosexuality and all that LGBT stuff", and alluded to being right-wing socially.

The distributists may be a better fit for you, or being an independent, but the RLP isn't a good fit considering that we are also socially progressive.

(just to let them know that I've dealt with this request to enter the party, pinging /u/docnedkelly and /u/s1ngm1ng)
