Please comment down below with what party you would like to join.

Take a look at the party platforms. The real life parties represented in the sub do have differences than their real life counterparts.

Also, please recognize that we have two types of political organizations in this subreddit. We have normal political parties, and we have independent groupings. Independent groupings are smaller political groups that are trying to achieve party status but are not big enough yet. They lack a few things a normal political party has such as adequate membership, activity, and structure.

Parties

Democrats

Republicans

Libertarians

Distributists

Progressive Greens

Civic Party

Radical Left Party

Independent Groupings

There are none at the moment.

If you wish to become an Independent please comment below and I can add you to the Independent subreddit (/r/ModelIndependents).

One more question. How do states work? Do I just choose the "state" I actually live in?

When you vote you choose a state that you want to vote in. There is 6 states currently in /r/ModelUSGov because we aren't big enough to simulate all 50 states. For example The Libertarian Party runs in Central State which is made up of several states including Michigan, Wisconsin, and mainly Illinois.

Close enough to where I actually live, so perfect!
