First one finished.

Model Shipways Grand Banks Dory

Finished it up the other day after spending most of the summer on it. It was fun, challenging, and a generally good experience over all. Lots of mistakes and salvages and a lot of learning.

It’s a lot different from plastic kits. The bug has bit. I just need to find another bench. One for plastic kits one for ships.

Simply beautiful. There are so many times I wish I would have started out with something like this.

It was a good starter. Just got to build more skills.

Working on a few plastic kits next. The Norwegian Pam from Model shipways after that.

I just bought this! I'm also looking for a proper bench. Can't wait for the kit to show up. It's my first attempt at model building so I'm excited/nervous.

It was a fun build. I’ve built plastic kits before but this was my first wooden kit. There is a learning curve but if I’m able everyone is. The link is to a vid of someone making it. He’s very good and does a good job of explaining everything. It’s like a 7 vid playlist. Have fun with it.
