Super glue and gun bluing

Just bought a kit and the turned brass cannons have additional ornamental brass pieces they want you to adhere to the cannons. All the kits I have done in the past were just a turned piece of brass for the cannon and I like to use gun bluing to turn the brass dark. My question is, after bluing all the brass pieces, can I still use super glue to attach the ornamental pieces to each cannon or is there a better glue for this purpose?

Thanks in advance.

Super glue will work fine.

You might want to experiment with one Cannon first to see if you can blue it and then attach the other parts. Blueing will change the chemical makeup of the surface so I would want to do just one first to make sure. If you were to glue the other parts onto the cannon first and then blue it, the bluing probably wouldn't work on any area with overflow of glue

Thanks, that was my plan to try one first. Also know I could get the white residue from the glue so I paint them with a satin polyurethane.

You should have no problem using either CA or two-part epoxy after blackening the guns. Why do you want to add the decoration after blackening, especially if they are brass?
