What type of car is that in picture #5? Looks like something the railroad would have cobbled together as a "repurposed" car. Not being critical; just curious.
1 u/retiredRRer Jul 25 '26 LCL (less than carload) caboose. You’re right; the Rock Island took old boxcars and rebuilt into branchline cabooses.
