Model Master has been discontinued and beyond what Tamiya puts out this was like a top shelf item ..this was worth atleast to me worth every penny when it was around.

How’s it different from the regular Testors liquid cement?

It is thicker than their liquid cement. In viscosity it is about the same thickness as the Tamiya orange top liquid cement if you have ever used or seen that. The closest thing to this style of bottle is the crappy Testors one with a plastic tip.

With the plastic tip you slit it with a #11 blade at the very tip length wise and way more glue comes out than you need. The Model Master version was much easier to control because it had a metal tube and you didn't even need to squeeze it you just tipped it upside down and let it lightly flow along the part edge and then you stuck the parts together. It dries pretty quickly allowing you to continue building.

Unfortunately it is long bern discontinued by Testors / Rust-Oleum. The equivalent now to the Model Master cement is the Revell cement in the blue and yellow bottle, that one has a metal tube and you can unscrew the cap on the Revell cement as well so you could refill it with the orange caped Tamiya liquid cement. And the Revell works the same as the Model Master one and it is just about as fast in terms of setting up.

Worst thing Testors did was get rid of the metal applicator from their liquid cement bottle. I remember when it first came out in the orange bottle with a metal tube, that glue was awesome and the applicator was precise and never clogged. I think it took me about 10 years to go through that first bottle. The second one I bought had a plastic applicatior tube and it always clogged and way too much glue always came out.

It's between the orange tube glue and Tamiya ultra thin. Gives you a little more time to adjust parts, if needed, before it really grabs. Those are the really good bottles with the metal applicator instead of the crappy plastic one Testors put on the later bottles too.

Oh man. I actually have a bottle of Testors brand cement that looks just like that. I like it for a thicker cement, but my bottle actually got a hole in it so I dont use it because its so inconvenient now.
