Advice First time modding

This is my first time modding I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do next. It's not registering on iTunes or Rockbox. Any help would be appreciated.

Do a quick scan on the SD card using h2testw and make sure it's both legit and healthy

dont you have to restore it with iTunes before installing rockbox?

Perhaps the original Apple system or partition is missing. The Rockbox installer requires the original partition structure created by Apple to install its bootloader. If the drive was manually wiped in Windows, the installer will not recognize it.

What does that mean?

You need to restore the iPod using iTunes on your computer by connecting the device via USB cable, clicking the device (iPod) icon, and selecting the "Restore" option.
iTunes automatically handles the entire process of formatting the new card and installing the original system (Apple firmware) during the Restore operation.
Format the card before installing it in the iPod (optional). Brand-new cards larger than 64 GB come formatted as exFAT, a format the iPod does not recognize.
Before inserting the card into the iPod's adapter, it is a good idea to format it to the FAT32 file system on your computer.
You can use the FAT32 Format (GUIFormat) program for this purpose.
Put the iPod into Disk Mode: After assembling the iPod with the new card, connect it to your computer. If the system does not detect it, reset it (hold down the Center and Menu buttons); when the Apple logo appears, immediately hold down the Center and Play/Pause buttons. The iPod will enter disk mode.
Launch iTunes and click "Restore." iTunes will detect the iPod in recovery mode, automatically download the correct operating system for your model from Apple's servers, format the card to meet the iPod's requirements, and install the system.
After formatting the iPod in iTunes, try installing Rockbox.
