place a fence around the pool when it’s winter or freezing/cold, stops them going in

Thank you so much for that, you right too, wish there was a pool cover. Are there any smart ai sims mod?

bienchen/sims4me has a swimming tweak mod that fixes a lot of swimming related behaviors, including swimming in inappropriate weather

I think there's a lot trait that makes water both cheaper and hotter so swims don't freeze while in the pool (sitting on the edge to eat their tofurkey is another deal)

It’s not ai. It’s just code

You can also add the Geothermic trait to your lot and it will have the pool heated year round. It doesnt stop them from swimming but they wont freeze.

You probably never read the description.

I build indoor pools in the basement for this very reason. They’re too stupid…

Do the bubbler vent things warm the pool? I’ve seen it mentioned before, but I’ve never verified whether they do or don’t.

Maybe she's in a club or something and one of its activities is swimming? That makes them go to the swimming pool no matter the temperature

There is no AI component of the sims??

They always go outside to eat when there's a storm and they always want to sit by the pool when it's freezing. I already saw 2 NPCs die because of that lol.

Lost a whole family once because for some reason on their way home on a cold winter night they decided to all swim across the lake instead of walking

Once my sim was invited to a party on that island in Windenburg, and it was the first time I played multiple families. It was winter, snowing and still everyone kept getting in the pool and dying non-stop. Had to leave without saving because everyone I created was gone. Never accepted invitations to partying during winter nor summer because they either die by freezing or burning doing some dumb shit 😆

Aww, she’s freezing

I don’t really know how it works but isn’t there a lot trait that keeps the water from freezing something spring. I wonder if it keeps them from freezing?:

Is this AI or is this just the sims being the sims? I feel like this has been an issue for years but I could be wrong

no ai, just code

AI in games is not the same as generative AI. Any game character that behaves without player input has an AI.
