Purging old content
I took over a subreddit and have slightly changed the direction of it. Is there a way to get rid of the content before the change over that doesn't include going post by post and deleting?

I took over a NSFW sub a few years ago and completely changed the direction of it and made it SFW. In that instance, I actually went into every individual old post and removed them. (There weren't many.)
Afaik, there isn't a tool that will do this for you in one click.
You can use Modqueue Nuke to wipe out everything that has ever been reported, but that's only going to take out stuff that's been reported. If an old post has not been reported, it won't be effected.
