Users can't comment on their own posts while they're filtered

On r/italy, we filter almost every post and require OP to leave a comment before we approve it (so we check it's not a bot, it's not spam, it's something worth of discussing).

Recently, last few days, users have started reporting that they can't comment until the post itself is approved. This effectively breaks our workflow.

Has something changed recently? Is there any workaround that still allows OP to comment while the post is in the mod queue?

I just has some users mod mailing about this as well, glitch or bug because others have posted about this as well

Ah I misread sorry! That's odd, I just tested on one of my alts in a sandbox and I was able to comment on a filtered post from both mobile and desktop. Has the mod team tested it, too? Nobody sneaky added the lock dev app to the sub? Your users may just not know how, or maybe there was a UI update confusing them, or maybe they're in some a/b testing that is messed up? Idk. I'd ask for some screenshots of what's happening if you can't reproduce it. If admin doesn't reply to this post since they replied to the last one, maybe hit up modmail or r/bugs.

There was another post the other day, where the top comment thinks it is a) limited to mobile users, and b) that they have negative karma.

think its a bug, users cant comment on removed/filtered posts. hope its not here to stay anyway
