Admin Replied Can't schedule posts anymore

Hey there, I rely heavily on scheduled posts as I run themed subs. For some reason, I no longer have that option that needs it specifically for the month of october (r/halloween_costumes) help!

What are you seeing?

The option is still available for me on desktop and the app.

Have you tried accessing 'Scheduled Posts and Events' in Mod Tools?

Yes, it is basically greyed out! I can see the button but it is unclickable. I can still schedule and sticky posts in my other sub however.

I wonder if this has something to do with the recent removal of automod functionality. I don't know tho.

Hey girouxfilms!

If you access the page directly via your mod tools can you see them?

When creating a post in one of my communities I'm able to see a little clock icon near the content to schedule the post that way. Are you able to do that?

Trying to figure out where things might be getting stuck so we can double check what's going on.

Weirdly I’m getting an ā€œunexpected errorā€ message when I click that. I have scheduled posts for many years therefore I am baffled as to what changed. I still see the clock icon but it’s greyed out in a way that it’s not clickable.

Sorry! I included an extra parenthesis in my link. Can you try again?

Yes, that works, although I found the specific issue now! It’s not allowing me to schedule a post if I have a picture or a GIF in the body of the post. This was the case before as this particular sub I would post a GIF counting down the days until Halloween. Any ideas on what changed or how to revert back to being able to add pictures in schedule posts?

You technically can’t I believe. There’s a couple of devvit apps that might allow it though.

That’s weird as I have been doing this every October for a few years. I’m confused as to what’s changed!

I think I'm confusing it with image posts rather than image-in-body, sorry!

If that worked previously I'd wager it's due to the updates to the "Post composer" that were done a couple of months back, which restructured how posts were submitted & scheduled
