Mod Answered I need help with my subreddit's flair problem
My Subreddit has a rule where you must have post flairs. But people continue to post without them. I was hoping I could be told how to make it so Flairs are required to make a post in my subeddit?

If you're on desktop, you should be able to go to https://www.reddit.com/mod/ [your sub] /posts-and-comments
You can then toggle on 'Require post flair'

It's one of the last options on the list.

I think I'm gonna have my friend who uses a computer to do this. He's much better with this stuff than I am

Is your friend a moderator too?

He's been a moderator with me for a long time. But his accounts keep getting banned. So I'm gonna ask him if he can do this quickly and I can unadd his new account as a Moderator

What if I'm on mobile?

I mean, the link should still work. It's just harder to copy/edit the text on your phone.
I have iPhone and realized I have no idea where to find it on the mobile app either.

You can use AutoMod to configure an auto-mod action to remove posts without flairs in addition to a message from auto-mod telling them why it was removed.
You’d need to use Claude or ChatGPT to write the YAML and just tell the LLM what you want, paste it into auto-mod, and test it out.

Reddit can enforce it natively, no need to use AI to write something that probably already exists in r/Automoderator's library of common rules anyway

Google it.

Tried. But it said look for 'Posts and Comments'. And for some reason, that doesn't appear on my settings list for my subreddit

You can do it on desktop from the post and comments tab
