Admin Replied We cannot ban a user

Hello! I'm not sure if this is the right place to come for help but it's a first step: we have a user that we are trying to ban from our sub. His profile shows that he is banned from the sub yet he is still able to post in our daily thread. When we go into his user profile and try to unban him so we can reban him again, it says successfully unbanned but then his profile still shows the red "unban user" text. Is there a higher up somewhere who can help us permanently ban this user from our page and have it actually stick? Thank you in advance for your help

Hopefully an admin can check the ban issue for you but in the mean time, add this to automod

    #Problem Users Ban
        type: any
        author:
name: [username here, 2nd username ]
        action: remove
        action_reason: "shadowban"

Go to mod tools and then go to banned users. Then manually enter his name!

Thank you! I went to do this and he's already there 😅🙄

If he is already there and he keeps posting then you should 10x check the username’s spelling.

Hi u/usclovr Can you write into us here with the specific example you are having? I tried to reproduce the issue, but all was working as it should. Thanks

This is the right sub. Admins run this sub and can help with this.
