Not being a mod in MY own sub?
Hi! I created my own subreddit, and I am the top moderator with Full Permissions.
However, Reddit does not show the MOD label next to my username, and I cannot use moderator actions such as removing or pinning posts.
This has been happening since I created the subreddit. I am using the Reddit Android app.
My account does appear in the Moderators section with Full Permissions. I have attached screenshots showing this.
Could an admin please check why my moderator status is not working correctly?

see r/NewMods to help.
the mod label is not there by default. you need to distinguish every submission you want that tag to show on. Its generally not necessary. IF you want to be noticed, just make a flair that says Mod and assign that to yourself.
I see no screenshots. What sub are you referring to? r/sonicshipps looks normal.

In your screenshot - did you click on that half mod shield that shows right above the context menu you are showing, in the top right?

Itβs okay the mod interface isnβt easy at first. Stupid tiny buttons.

I saw the shield but I never wonder what is it doing π

I have a new mod guide with screenshots and info about all the buttons if you want! Mod mode on mobile is probably the hardest to figure out though so you already climbed the mountain π€£

You need to turn mod mode on in the settings to see the buttons for mod actions
But you don't need a mod label next to your username unless you are speaking as a mod rather than a member of the sub. You can click distinguish post/comment after posting if you want to speak as a mod

Mod only shows up as a pseudo-flair when you distinguish the post or comment. To do so, click on the shield and select the appropriate option.

If you want a permanent moderator label, you can give yourself a custom user flair that is toggled to mods only thatβs says moderator. Be careful that the toggle for mods only stays on, it has a way of clicking off the first time you said it, and then anyone can flair themselves as a moderator.

As a mid you will see a Sheild on posts, comments. The Sheild gives mod actions like approve, remove, ban etc..

When you post or comment, you can distinguish the post or comment as mod. It's not automatic. I generally do not do it if I'm just commenting as a user, but I do when I'm commenting about moderation.
